Today we’d like to introduce you to Julia Cendrowski.
Hi Julia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
This all started back in 2017, when I decided to go to school at Brown Aveda Institute for Esthetics. My son had just started school and that gave me the opportunity to return to school and pursue something I was passionate about, helping people look and feel their very best. I would have never dreamed it would lead to where I am now.
After graduating, I joined a well known salon, where I spent 7 years growing, expanding my skills and learning as much as I could about the industry. I had an amazing mentor and so many talented people around me that helped shape the professional that I am today.
After those 7 amazing years, I knew it was time to take the next step and make something of my own. That’s when I opened Ink and Wink Esthetics Studio. It’s been one of the best decisions I have ever made. I truly love what I do, the people I meet, and the confidence I am able to help my clients achieve. I have built an environment that I love and have filled it with people, services and goals that make me beyond happy..
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. There have been times when I might second guess my abilities and have a had time with comparing where I am, success wise to others. With age though, wisdom is coming. I am where I am and doing exactly what I am supposed to be doing right now. Also, the home and work life balance. Being a mother, partner and entrepreneur, it can be difficult to prioritize and give each part of my life the attention it deserves. Learning how to step away from work when it’s always there and something I care so much about, can be tough. But with time, I will continue improving on creating that balance. I’m also very lucky to have a supporting and caring family behind me.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I specialize in eyelash extensions and full body waxing. I also offer customized skincare services and permanent makeup services. What sets me apart is the experience I create for my clients. I have worked hard to build a space that feels welcoming, comfortable and personal. I truly listen to what my clients want and take the time to make sure that when they walk out of my room, they feel better then when they walked in.
Over the years, many of my clients have become more than just clients, they’ve become friends. We’ve grown together over the many years I have had the privilege of servicing them, and those relationships mean so much to me.
I’m also proud of the growth I have made over the years as an artist and a professional and my clients are too! When you truly love what you do, it shows in your work. I put so much care, attention and emotion into each service and every person that comes in. I love spending my days with people that make me happy doing what makes me happy. Being able to feel that way every day is something I’m incredibly proud of.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up I was actually pretty quiet and more of a tomboy. I tended to stay to myself and was more reserved. In my teenage years, I developed psoriasis, and I struggled with that for a long time. That was one of the things that really drew me to the esthetics industry. I never wanted others to struggle with their confidence to self-image the way that I did. Getting to be everyone’s biggest hype girl has pulled me out of my shell and has made me so much happier.
