Today we’d like to introduce you to Harley Rose.

Hi Harley, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My first introduction to tattoos was hearing about and seeing my parents’ tattoos at Designs by Dana in Northside. Immediately I got the itch. From that point on; anywhere I was, so was my sketch books. After extensive learning and a little elbow grease; I opened my first studio in 2019. I was able to independently expand in 2022, officially opening in 2023.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It was definitely not a smooth road. I had to quickly learn how to run a business, time management (in the shop vs. administrative work), and navigating/utilizing social media. I am Historic Milford’s first tattoo shop so learning what building codes and zoning I landed in was a learning experience in itself. I am truly so lucky to have had met so many knowledgable people that helped me along the way.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a tattoo artist and owner of Electric Love Tattoo located in Milford, Ohio. I am most known for my feminine traditional work and floral tattoos. My most common tattoos I do are anime, lots of florals, and there is probably a heart themed animal in there somewhere. I pride myself on creating a space where any client can come in, vibe out, and get a sick tattoo.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I think cool? LOL I was usually visiting my dad at the firehouse, hanging out with my older brother, or throwing Uno cards with my mom. I come from a large family on both sides so I was raised to be very family oriented. Just like any other 30-something year old tattooer, in high school I probably had Green Day in my cd player and too many safety pins in my T-shirt to be legal. Luckily, I grew out the of safety pins but Green Day stuck around.
