Garrett, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Our Story: How Sit Happens Grew
​It all started with a simple belief: that every dog, and every owner, deserves a positive, rewarding, and successful training experience.
​Based in Warren, Ohio, Sit Happens Dog Training was founded on the passion for helping owners build a stronger, happier bond with their furry companions. We understood that every dog is unique, and from day one, our mission has been to provide the highest quality, personalized training plans to suit each dog’s individual needs. We committed ourselves to positive reinforcement techniques, creating a training atmosphere that not only fosters good behavior but also deepens the trust between you and your dog.
​From puppy socialization and basic obedience to more complex behavior modification, we’ve taken pride in helping our community navigate the journey of dog ownership with confidence.
​As our Sit Happens family grew, we saw a bigger need. Our clients didn’t just want a trainer; they wanted a community and a place they could trust with their dog’s complete care. We dreamed of expanding our services to provide a safe, fun, and engaging environment for dogs while their owners were at work or away.
​That dream recently became a reality, thanks to a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with another passionate local business owner.
​We are incredibly excited to announce that Sit Happens has grown to include premier Doggy Daycare and Boarding services. This was made possible by working closely with Leslie Cobb, the former owner of the beloved TLC Doggy Daycare. Leslie built an incredible community centered on top-notch care, and she has graciously worked with us to purchase the daycare, allowing another small, local business to grow.
​This new chapter allows us to offer the full-circle care we’ve always dreamed of—from foundational training to a fun place to play and a safe place to stay.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
As with starting any business its been an uphill battle. Just getting known in the community and getting your name out there can be a real challenge

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I guess our specialty would be saving dogs lives that are on the euthanasia list from misbehaving and biting. Working closely with the dogs owners and getting them trained to where they can live happy healthy lives

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Its almost always the people that creat the dogs issues
