Check Out Dalton Harp’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dalton Harp.

Hi Dalton, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m Dalton Harp, a photographer and videographer driven by storytelling, emotion, and documenting real moments as they happen. Long before I ever picked up a camera, I was obsessed with movies, television, and the feeling visuals could create. I was always fascinated by the way stories were built, the emotion behind scenes, and how powerful a single moment could feel when it was captured the right way.

My creative background originally started in music, playing drums and going on smaller tours with bands, but over time I realized visual storytelling was where I truly connected. Picking up a camera gave me a new way to create emotion and tell stories that felt honest and alive.

Today, through XDalton Visuals and Loud House Productions, I focus on documenting moments rather than forcing them. Whether it’s sports, weddings, music videos, or creative projects, my work is built around authenticity and preserving emotion in a way that feels cinematic but real. My goal has always been simple: create visuals that make people feel like they were truly there in that moment.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road getting here was far from perfect. I grew up around a lot of instability and spent years trying to figure out where I belonged creatively and professionally. There were many moments where I questioned whether any of this would actually work, but I kept creating anyway. That persistence eventually led me into sports, where everything clicked creatively for me. The intensity, emotion, pressure, energy, and rawness of sports showed me exactly the kind of storytelling I wanted to capture.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specializes in sports media, music videos, Weddings and creative content. A lot of my work is centered around documenting real moments and emotion in a way that feels natural and cinematic instead of overly staged. I’ve always been heavily inspired by movies and television, and that has shaped the way I approach storytelling through visuals.

I’m probably most known for my sports work and the emotion and energy behind it. I love capturing the intensity, pressure, and real moments that happen naturally and turning them into something people can actually feel when they look back

What I’m most proud of is building everything from the ground up and turning something I genuinely love into a career. There were a lot of moments where I questioned if it would work out, but I stayed consistent and kept creating.

I think what sets me apart is that I care more about authenticity than forcing content just to make it look polished. I want people to feel comfortable being themselves, and I focus a lot on capturing moments as they actually happen while still giving everything a cinematic feel.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I’ve never really believed in luck in the traditional sense. I’ve always looked at it more as opportunity meeting preparation. A lot of the opportunities I’ve been given came from years of consistently creating, learning, networking, and putting myself in uncomfortable situations even when nothing was guaranteed to work out.

At the same time, I’m very thankful for the people who believed in me and gave me opportunities early on. I don’t take those moments for granted. But when those opportunities came, I was prepared to deliver because of all the work that happened behind the scenes long before anyone noticed.

I’ve also had plenty of setbacks and difficult moments in life and business, but I think those experiences helped shape the way I work and pushed me to stay adaptable, creative, and persistent.
