At Skin Sanctuary Boutique Spa, we specialize in results-driven, customized treatments that focus on skin health, as well as lash, brow, and scalp services. Our mission is to help each client feel confident, radiant, and cared for through personalized care and expert techniques.

I’ve been in the beauty industry for 17 years, beginning my journey by doing makeup for friends and family while in college. My true passion for aesthetics ignited during my time working at Sephora, where I discovered how transformative it could be to help others feel beautiful in their own skin. From there, I pursued a career in aesthetics, gaining experience in a variety of settings—including medical spas, full-service salons, boutique spas, and even as an aesthetics instructor.

Every step of my journey has shaped the business owner and leader I am today. I’m incredibly grateful for the experiences that led me to open Skin Sanctuary and build a team that I now train in-house, combining clinical knowledge with compassionate care.

Being a female entrepreneur in the spa industry has been empowering. I’m proud to inspire other women, create a supportive team environment, and prove that building a business and raising a family don’t have to be mutually exclusive. With a predominantly female clientele, I consider it an honor to provide a safe space—a sanctuary—for women to relax, be heard, and reconnect with themselves.

My personal connection to skincare runs deep. As a teenager, I struggled with self-confidence, but I was fortunate to have a grandmother who instilled in me the importance of self-love and care. She inspired my early steps into the industry and encouraged me to pursue opportunities where I could help others feel that same sense of self-worth. Working at Sephora was the first time I truly understood what a privilege it is to be trusted with someone’s face—and that trust still humbles me today.

One of the most profound lessons I’ve learned as an aesthetician is that confidence often starts with self-care. When someone comes in for a facial or treatment, it’s rarely just about their skin—it’s about how they feel when they see themselves in the mirror, how they carry themselves, and how they want to show up in the world. My work is deeply personal because I get to witness and support that transformation.

I’ve seen clients walk in burdened by insecurity or stress and leave lighter—not just in complexion, but in spirit. Skin care may appear to be surface-level, but the impact runs much deeper. Through intentional touch, active listening, and consistent care, we create space for healing, empowerment, and genuine self-love.

Being an aesthetician has taught me patience, empathy, and the power of human connection. Everyone’s skin tells a story, and every day, I feel honored to be trusted with those stories—to help people feel more at home in their own skin.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being a small business owner with a family means making sacrifices every day—late nights at work, missed school events, and constantly balancing the needs of my clients with the needs of my children. It’s not always easy, and sometimes it feels like there aren’t enough hours in the day. But every sacrifice is made with purpose—because I’m building something not just for myself, but for my family’s future and to show my kids what’s possible when you follow your passion with grit and heart.
