Story & Lesson Highlights with Madison Clark

We recently had the chance to connect with Madison Clark and have shared our conversation below.

Good morning Madison, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? Are you walking a path—or wandering?
Definitely a mix of both! I like a “walking path” – a path that I know where it leads. A path that helps to guide me. But at the same time, I also like a “wandering path” – a path that I have no idea where it leads. It may bring surprises and things I never even thought of before, but still leads me in the right direction. I welcome both paths.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Well hello! My name is Madison Clark. I am a model and a small content creator. More specifically, I am a petite model, and one with tattoos, so that sets me apart in a lot of ways.
I am still working on building my social medias and becoming a full time model as well. I am also working on another career dream of mine, but I’m not quite ready to share that yet! It is definitely in the works though. I am a busy woman for sure, but I want to make my career dreams happen, and that’s exactly what I’m going to do.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I was a very shy person, afraid to speak my mind and afraid to show true emotion. I took things from people I never should’ve had to take. But now, I am outspoken, I am brave, and I tell it how it is. If you treat me poorly, it will be made known. And on the other side of that, if you treat me well, I will make sure that is known as well! I will always show my appreciation and gratitude, and I will also call out disrespect and toxic behavior.

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
Definitely fear of what people think. I couldn’t care less about what people think of me now, but just a few years ago I was absolutely terrified of what people thought of me. I was scared of being judged. Eventually, I just came to a couple realizations: 1. You will never see most of those people again. 2. Even if you do see them again, who cares! If they care enough to judge me that hard in their free time, then that shows more about them than it does about me.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
100% YES! I am authentically me, every single day of my life. In person and in social media. I don’t use filters, I don’t use photoshop, I don’t use anything like that. And same in real life, I don’t act fake towards people, I don’t pretend to be someone I’m not. I am always just me.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel the absolute most at peace when I am with my husband, family, and friends. They bring me so much peace and happiness. Even though I am constantly working towards my careers, I always make room for the people I love.
