We’re looking forward to introducing you to Alexis Wilson. Check out our conversation below.
Alexis , it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What is a normal day like for you right now?
start my mornings at 6am with Pilates, giving myself time to move and center before the day begins. From there, it’s all about my family, I make breakfast, get everyone ready, and set up for homeschool.
Once we’ve finished our homeschool lessons, we usually head out for an outing or adventure together, creating space for hands-on learning and memories. Afterward, I catch up on emails and business tasks.
Alongside homeschooling and motherhood, I balance modeling work and running my own candle business, where I get to pour creativity, faith, and purpose into products that inspire peace and healing.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Alexis Nickelle, and I wear a few hats that all connect back to my passion for faith, family, and creativity. I’m a professional model, a homeschooling mom of three, and the founder of Alexis Nickelle Co., a candle and lifestyle brand built around the belief that a healed home is a healed society.
What makes my brand unique is that our products are more than fragrance, they are tools for peace, reflection, and truth. Every candle is hand-poured with clean ingredients and prayer, designed to create atmospheres that remind people of God’s promises and bring healing into their everyday spaces.
Alongside that, co-writing a book with my husband that blends storytelling and scripture to help strengthen families. My journey has been about weaving together creativity, entrepreneurship, and faith, and I’m passionate about encouraging others to slow down, live intentionally, and invite God’s presence into their homes and lives.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship that has most shaped how I see myself is my relationship with God. It’s through Him that I’ve learned my worth isn’t tied to performance, perfection, or what others expect of me, but to who He created me to be. That foundation has influenced every other role I carry, whether as a wife, mother, business owner, or creative.
Alongside that, my relationship with my husband and children continues to refine me. They hold up a mirror to the parts of me that need growth, while also affirming the parts of me that are strong, nurturing, and resilient. Through them, I’ve learned that love, sacrifice, and grace are some of the most powerful forces shaping not just who I am, but who I’m becoming.
What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
Some of the defining wounds of my life have been tied to feeling unseen and unworthy, times when rejection, disappointment, or unmet expectations made me question my value and identity. Those moments left deep marks, but they also became the soil where my faith could take root in a new way.
Healing hasn’t come all at once; it’s been a journey of God patiently restoring me, showing me that my worth is not in what I do or who accepts me, but in who He says I am. Prayer, scripture, and intentional community have been anchors in that process.
I’ve also found healing through creativity and purpose, pouring myself into motherhood, marriage, modeling, and my candle brand. Creating spaces and products that remind others of truth and peace has been part of my own restoration, too. What once wounded me now fuels me to help others find light, hope, and healing.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, the public version of me is real, but it’s not the whole of me. What people see publicly, the faith-driven entrepreneur, model, wife, and mom, is all true, but it’s a glimpse into a much bigger picture.
Like anyone, I have quieter layers that don’t always make it to social media or interviews, the vulnerable parts, the messy growth seasons, the doubts I work through with God. I try to live in a way where there isn’t a huge gap between my public and private life, because authenticity matters deeply to me.
At the same time, I believe some moments are sacred and meant to be held close. So while the public me is genuine, the private me is the one who God is continually shaping in the unseen.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
hope the story people tell about me is that I lived with faith, love, and intention. That I wasn’t afraid to pour myself into my family, my community, and the work God entrusted me with. I hope they say I created spaces, whether through my home, my words, or even my candles, that brought people peace, reminded them of truth, and made them feel seen.
Most of all, I’d want the story to be less about me and more about the God I reflected. That my life pointed people back to Him, and that my legacy was one of healing, restoration, and courage to live fully in His promises.
