Rising Stars: Meet Tracy Winborn of Elyria

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tracy Winborn

Hi Tracy, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Thank you for having me! It is a pleasure to share my journey. My story is one of perseverance, faith, and finding purpose through challenges. I began my entrepreneurial path after being told I could not have children at a moment that reshaped my perspective on life. Miraculously, I gave birth to two children just eleven months apart. Tragically, I lost my son at seven months old due to health complications, which became one of the darkest periods of my life.

Amid the heartbreak, I pursued nursing school to honor his memory and create a life rooted in compassion and care. During this time, I also went through a challenging three-year divorce, which pushed me to rediscover my strength and focus on building a future for myself and my family.

Despite working nine-to-five jobs, I always explored small business ventures aligned with my spiritual and core values. Today, as a female entrepreneur, my journey reflects resilience, and I am passionate about helping others find financial freedom and live life aligned with their purpose.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been an easy path far from it. There were moments when the weight of life felt unbearable, and giving up seemed like the simplest choice. Losing my son was a heartache that I carried everywhere. On top of that, navigating a three-year divorce was emotionally and financially draining, leaving me questioning my ability to rebuild.

As a mother to my daughter, I felt an even greater responsibility to persevere. She became my anchor and my motivation to keep going, even on the hardest days. In entrepreneurship, the challenges felt equally relentless. I had to overcome the doubts of others and my own fears of failure. Balancing nine-to-five jobs, motherhood, and launching small businesses often meant sleepless nights and endless sacrifices. And as a woman in business, I have faced moments where I felt underestimated or overlooked.

But through it all, my belief in a higher purpose kept me moving forward. Each challenge reminded me that I was not just working for myself, I was building a legacy, showing my daughter the power of resilience, and proving to myself and others that strength is greater than any obstacle.

My advice to women trying to balance motherhood, entrepreneurship and life’s challenges is to give yourself grace and understand that balance does not mean perfection it means prioritizing what truly matters in the moment. As mothers and entrepreneurs, we wear so many hats, and it is easy to feel like we are falling short.

But the truth is, we are doing more than enough. Lean into your support system, whether it is family, friends, or a community of like-minded women. Do not be afraid to ask for help, it is a sign of strength, not weakness. Set boundaries to protect your energy and learn to say no to things that do not align with your values or goals.

Most importantly, remember your “why.” For me, it is my daughter and the legacy I want to build for her. On the hardest days, I remind myself that I am showing her what resilience looks like. Your journey might not be perfect, but it will be worth it when you see the impact you are making not just on your business but on the lives of those you love.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
So, I just finished real estate school, waiting to take my real estate license exam. I also started a travel company, and I have a couple other companies that I have as well. Right now, my work is centered on empowering others to pursue their dreams, especially women who feel stuck or unsure of how to start. Through my entrepreneurial ventures, I am not just focused on building businesses, I am focused on building opportunities. I want to create spaces where people can feel seen, supported, and inspired to chase financial freedom and personal growth.

Recently, I completed real estate school and am preparing to take my licensing exam, which is an exciting new chapter for me. I also started a travel company, which allows me to combine my passion for exploration with creating meaningful experiences for others. Alongside these ventures, I run a couple of other companies that align with my vision of growth and service.

Everything I do is guided by my spiritual and core values, ensuring my work leaves a lasting, positive impact on my family and the community. Moving forward, I am focused on expanding my reach through mentorship programs and initiatives that help others transform their trials into triumphs.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Luck certainly plays a role in life, but it is only one part of the equation. For me, it has been about preparation, faith, and recognizing opportunities when they come my way. Some might call it luck, but I see it as the result of challenging work aligning with the right moment.

For example, after a car accident ended my twenty-year career in the medical profession, I could have seen it as the end of my story. Instead, I chose to see it as a turning point as a chance to reinvent myself and pursue a new path. That shift was not about luck; it was about resilience, determination, and trusting that life was pushing me toward something greater.

Luck might give you the spark, but it is how you respond to the circumstances and opportunities around you that truly shape your journey. Looking back on my journey, I have realized that every challenge, every setback, and every triumph has played a role in shaping who I am today. My story is not about overcoming it is about embracing growth, honoring my values, and proving to myself and others that resilience can transform even the darkest times into something beautiful.

Through entrepreneurship, motherhood, and life’s trials, I have learned that success is not defined by how easy the path is but by how determined you are to keep moving forward. My hope is that my journey inspires others to trust their strength, chase their dreams, and never stop believing in the power of their own story.
