Today we’d like to introduce you to Thomas Green.
Thomas, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
As a kid I was very passionate about Pokémon, wanting to have my own, wanting to create my own evolutions for them. See I have always been creative. My favorite Pokémon was Mewtwo as a kid and I loved the mechanic Mewtwo because of the creativity they put into it. So, I picked up a pencil and began to draw Pokémon but with my own twist and it became an addiction. when I was sad, I would draw, when I was mad, I would draw, when I was on punishment and couldn’t come out my room I would draw because I was lonely and my art was my friend. Art got me through a lot of pain. I have been in a relationship with art since I was 6 and I have been madly in love with art ever since.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
This art journey has been pretty smooth for me because it was always my getaway. In today’s age, the only struggle I have is being more in tune with the audience that values your time and effort you put into your craft.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Well, I lived in many places in my shirt life this far. I’m born and raised in Raleigh North Carolina moved from there to Arkansas my 8th-grade year El Dorado Arkansas to be exact. 2 years after being in Arkansas we moved to Bowling Green Kentucky which is where I finished my high school days. Every place I live I was known for being an artist. My most proud moment as an artist was when the president at the time (Barrack Obama) reposted my artwork on his Instagram page. I am an artist who has tapped into his style and finally tapping into my deepest creative thoughts. So, what separates me from the rest, I couldn’t say. But I can say that art is open expression open interpretation so I don’t think no style is better than the other it’s just one big family expressing themselves the way they know best.
