Rising Stars: Meet Shelly Stotzer

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shelly Stotzer.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I don’t know of any business owner who would claim a smooth road without any bumps. From finding the right, experienced coaches with common values to navigating COVID, our business must constantly adapt.

Fortunately, a growth mindset is a core to who I am. Each year, I invest in ways to grow – from participating in Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Accelerator to continuous training and certification in tools, constantly surveying our clients, and more. We are always looking for a way to learn and grow so we can stay abreast of the marketplace and make it over those bumps with as few bruises as possible.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Our purpose is to guide people toward clarity and focus to perform their best work. We deliver a research-based yet highly personalized experience that increases self-awareness, leading to higher performance and personal fulfillment. I am proud of helping people change their lives at work. The personal notes and reviews we receive – every one of them – make me proud.

Three things stand out about our coaches at Crosworks:

Integrity – Our high commitment to doing what’s right for the client, not managing through politics but instead coaching by living our values.

Credibility – We are a team of experienced business professionals who have been in leadership roles and are responsible for real-world decision-making, we’ve walked in our client’s shoes.

Results – We drive sustainable change through self-awareness and application to learning.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting.
Step back to understand yourself. With all of the societal pressures, it’s easy to get caught up in what is expected. Taking the time to understand your authentic self can be incredibly empowering. What do you love to do? What behaviors come most naturally to you? When do these behaviors work for you and when do they not? What do you need from others?

By understanding yourself first, you can learn to better understand and appreciate others. And, NETWORK. Networking doesn’t have to be working your way through a party (although if that is fun for you then by all means do it) but sitting down with someone to ask questions and learn can be one of the most important things you do for your career.
