Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Ramsey.
Hi Rachel, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I have always had a love for fashion ever since I was a young kid. I did a few modeling things when I was young but it did not last too long as I was very shy. It wasn’t until after I graduated high school in 2018 when I decided to start back modeling. I have been doing it ever since, and I couldn’t love it more!
Starting my career as a model/ entrepreneur, I decided to go to school for business. I stayed in business school for a little over a year, soon to drop out and go to school to get my real estate license! (As I could build my own business with a shorter school time and a greater benefit in my opinion!)
So jump forward to the year 2021: I now have my Real Estate license, my own photography studio, I am a fashion model, I am a bartender as well, and I am currently working on learning/ doing some construction things! Yes I know it may seem like a lot of work, but I absolutely love every second of it because these are all things that I genuinely love to do.
2022 will be filled with so many more adventures and opportunities for me and I am so excited to get to experience all that I am doing at my age!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road I am on has been a somewhat ‘smooth’ road if you’d say. It is definitely not an easy thing to do, but if you find what you genuinely love doing and do it with a passion the road does not seem too bad. It may be less traveled road, but if you believe and see things as a chance to learn and experience something new then you can and WILL accomplish any and everything. One of the hardest things for me was just learning and losing people that were meant to teach me a lesson instead of being a blessing. But that’s okay because when one thing leaves your life it is because something even better is on its way to you.
Your perspective is a very valuable thing that a lot of folks look over.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I absolutely LOVE modeling and fashion. I mean what better job is there to do than dress up and look cute? I am most proud of myself now for staying consistent and bringing myself to where I am today. I don’t feel like I had a lot of support in the beginning as people would always say “that’ll be temporary” “It’s too hard to make it in that field” “That’s not a real job” and you already know the rest. But here I am in 2022 with my own photography studio, I’ve been published in 10+ magazines, and I have so much more support behind me.
What sets me apart from others is my uniqueness and determination. I know what I’m doing isn’t normal to the average person but I will never EVER let their average opinion influence or knock me off of what I am doing.
