Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Eten.
Rachel, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m Rachel Eten, a Kentucky girl with big dreams and a deep love for holistic health. From a young age, I was drawn to natural living, devouring books on whole foods and herbal wellness. After years in the fashion industry, traveling and working in cities like New York, LA, Miami, and London, I felt a strong pull back to my roots. My husband and I returned to Kentucky to start a family, and with that came a renewed passion for helping my community discover true, God-given health.
As an oracle housewife and a non-toxic advocate mama to Ari Rocket and Jubilee Gold, I strive to create a life centered on faith, clean living, and a deep connection to the earth. Alongside my husband, we guide our family in seeking a deeper connection with the Creator and His intent for our lives. I have found it to be a joyful journey to explore foraging, natural remedies, and nourishing foods, all while seeking balance in a modern world.
This passion led me to create Garden of Eten, an herbalism company specializing in organic, locally grown, and wildcrafted botanicals sourced from the Greater Cincinnati area. What began as a small batch of elderberry syrup has grown into a thriving business offering Wild Cider, herbal teas, honey infusions, and Drunken Botanicals extracts—all with the mission of making herbalism accessible and faith-centered.
I’m passionate about separating herbalism from its association with the occult and restoring its place as a God-honoring practice. Genesis 1:29 reminds us that God created plants for our well-being, and my mission is to bridge the gap—offering natural remedies, education, and a welcoming space for all seeking health in a way that glorifies the Lord.
At Garden of Eten, we believe that true health is found in faith, nature, and balance—and I’m honored to be your gatekeeper to holistic living.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
With any business, there are always hurdles to jump and mountains to climb. For Garden of Eten, entering the field of food production came with its fair share of challenges. Navigating the regulatory landscape is no small task—there are numerous permits, inspections, and certifications required just to get started. When you add herbs into the mix, especially when you’re committed to doing things the right way, it adds an extra layer of complexity. Ensuring every product is not only safe and effective, but also ethically sourced and legally compliant, takes time, diligence, and a lot of learning along the way. But we believe the integrity of the process matters just as much as the quality of the product—and that’s a road we’re proud to walk.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
At Garden of Eten, herbs aren’t just part of our business—they’re woven into the fabric of our everyday life. We believe herbalism isn’t just something you do, it’s something you live. One of the most beautiful and meaningful parts of our journey has been sharing this connection with our children.
From making dandelion cookies in the spring sunshine to painting with plant-based pigments or taste-testing new tea blends together, herbal exploration becomes a daily rhythm of learning and wonder. We use art, food, and hands-on adventures as part of our homeschooling adventure to pass down this ancient wisdom in a way that feels natural and joyful. It’s our way of honoring creation, cultivating curiosity, and raising the next generation of herbalists—one flower, one leaf, one story at a time.
This isn’t just a business. It’s a lifestyle, a legacy, and a love letter to the land God gave us.
What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is creating—not just products, but experiences, atmospheres, and moments that carry intention and love. Whether I’m formulating an herbal blend, making art with my children, or simply setting the tone in our home, I want everything I touch to carry a frequency of healing, peace, and restoration.
At Garden of Eten, creation is an act of worship. It’s how I reflect the image of a creative God who made beauty with purpose. Through this work, I hope to create spaces—both physical and emotional—where people feel safe, seen, and supported on their healing journeys.
In the end, it’s not just about herbs or products. It’s about crafting a life rooted in love, intention, and grace to the glory of God. That’s what matters most.
