Today we’d like to introduce you to Mercy Schurger.
Mercy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve always loved learning about different people and why they do certain things, believe certain ways etc. There’s much to be said about connecting with other people through stories, shared experiences and different opinions.
When I was younger I used to run a blog called Moments With Mercy where I shared different interviews with speakers/actors/authors and more. I quit running that blog due to many life changes going on and then last year felt like I finally had the space to restart but in podcast format. So here we are 🙂
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been a mostly smooth road in large part thanks to my amazing husband. I am not the techiest (is that even a word?) of people so he runs the sound and sets up everything for most of our episodes. He’s also just the biggest supporter of this podcast which has meant to the world to me.
Other than that I think the biggest struggle is just getting out there on social media so that people can find you.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
For me the most important thing with this podcast is showing people that they have worth. I don’t really have a specific niche I just want to share stories, invite conversation, build connection and ultimately point people back to Jesus.
So whether I’m interviewing an actor who shares my beliefs or an author who doesn’t they will know that at the end of the day they have worth. And hopefully the listeners will too.
