Today we’d like to introduce you to Kaylee Walker.
Kaylee, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
When most people think of a mobile bar, they imagine handcrafted cocktails, charming setups, and Instagram-worthy aesthetics. And while we absolutely bring that to the table, the real story—the one behind the scenes—is what makes The Sippin Stable truly special.
We’re a team of full-time working moms, raising daughters and running this business with equal parts hustle, humor, and heart. Except for my mom—our fearless leader and the heart of the operation—who raised my sister and me and is still raising my younger brother. Together, we’re learning how to grow a business from the ground up, leaning on each other every step of the way.
Every woman on our crew balances a full-time job in fields like law enforcement, healthcare, factory work, and the restaurant industry. Before The Sippin Stable, many of us were already juggling second jobs just to make ends meet. Now, in our second year, we’re slowly building more than just a business—we’re creating a support system, a sisterhood for our daughters, and a source of pride in the work we do.
Our team is made up entirely of moms with daughters—no boys in the mix, except for my brother Dustin, who has special needs and is affectionately known as “Uncle Dusty,” and my dad, Kevin, a.k.a. “Papa.” And of course, there’s Frankie—my mom—who everyone calls “Mama” and who holds us all together.
We lovingly refer to our girls as “The Spice Girls,” and they’re at the heart of everything we do—from event planning to on-the-fly logistics. One of the biggest challenges we face, like so many working moms, is childcare. For us, it’s not a side concern—it’s a key part of our business model.
Sometimes two or three of us will work an event while another stays back to watch all the kids. When we’re double-booked, Papa steps in to care for Uncle Dusty and wrangle the Spice Girls. It’s not always easy—especially when late-night events pop up and reliable childcare falls through. And when your ex hears “Mom’s working a wedding,” somehow it turns into drama and canceled babysitting plans. We know we’re not alone in that struggle.
But when we commit to an event, we show up—rain or shine, tired or not, with or without sitter drama. And no matter how hard the day (or night), we always end each event saying, “It was worth it.”
We won’t pretend to be polished event professionals—we’re still learning. But like any mom, we adapt, we push through the bumps, and we get the job done. Most of us have bartending experience—some from college, others from side gigs just to pay the bills—but the mobile bar world has been a whole new adventure.
And yet, our reputation is growing. Clients love our warmth, our energy, and our ability to roll with the punches. We bring more than great drinks—we bring heart.
Our cocktails are crafted with care. We’re not expert mixologists, but we are intentional, creative, and approachable. Our goal is to create a bar experience that feels as welcoming as your best friend’s kitchen—whether it’s a custom cocktail for a bride, non-alcoholic options for a baby shower, or local brews for a backyard birthday.
We take pride in the small details too: bar florals, themed glassware, witty signage, or custom mocktails for sober guests. Every event is a chance to make someone feel seen and celebrated.
Now in our second year, we’re growing—adding new packages, upgrading equipment, and brainstorming new ways to stand out in this competitive industry. What we may lack in polish, we make up for in passion, purpose, and a whole lot of heart.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The challenges we face aren’t always what you’d expect—and many of them are more personal than professional.
We do our best to work through any issues with our clients through clear, honest communication. From the first conversation, we stress that we’re not mind readers—transparency is key. The more open a client is with us about their needs, expectations, and vision, the better we can serve them. At the end of the day, our goal is to deliver an experience they’re happy with—and one where we know we gave it everything we had.
Of course, behind the scenes, things can be tough. Working a full day at our regular jobs, then heading straight into a wedding or event, often means we’ve been going non-stop since 5:30 or 6:00 a.m.—and we’re still smiling at 12:30 the next morning. It’s exhausting, but with the help of each other, a little caffeine, and a good case of the giggles, we find the energy to keep going.
And then there’s the mom guilt. It creeps in, especially during long events. We miss our girls. Sometimes we sneak away to send a goodnight text or FaceTime them between pours. It’s not always easy, but we make it work.
Because in the end, we’re not just building a business—we’re building something that supports our families, honors our values, and sets an example for the next generation of strong, determined women.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
The Sippin Stable is a mobile bar business that brings the bar to you—wherever your event may be. We provide on-location beverage service using our signature portable setups, offering everything from full bartending services to custom drink menus and bar coordination.
Unlike a traditional bar or restaurant, we don’t stay in one spot. Our services are designed to travel, creating a personalized and stylish bar experience at weddings, baby showers, corporate events, private parties, festivals, and more. Whether it’s a cozy backyard celebration or a large-scale venue event, we bring the drinks, the vibe, and the good energy.
Our main attraction is a vintage horse trailer, beautifully converted into a mobile bar. It’s eye-catching, photo-ready, and always a crowd favorite. For locations where the trailer can’t go—like indoor spaces or venues with limited access—we offer portable pop-up bars: sleek, collapsible counters that can be set up just about anywhere.
Each of our bar setups includes:
Trained, professional bartenders
Customizable drink menus (alcoholic + non-alcoholic)
Complete bar service coordination for your event
General and liquor liability insurance
All necessary bar equipment (glassware, mixers, ice, tools, and more)
From start to finish, we aim to make drink service effortless, fun, and tailored to your event. Whether you’re serving signature cocktails or mocktails for a crowd, The Sippin Stable is your go-to for a memorable, mobile bar experience.
How do you think about luck?
We wouldn’t say luck had anything to do with buying or running this business—if anything, we’d call it a blessing.
When we purchased The Sippin Stable, we were fortunate to have the full support of the previous owners and I believe the same before them. They were women, just like us, and they wanted to see us succeed. For six months, they walked alongside us during a transition period, sharing their knowledge, experiences, and encouragement to help us get off to a strong start. Their generosity laid the foundation for what we’ve built today.
Since then, the support hasn’t stopped. Thanks to our amazing clients and the venues that have welcomed us, we’ve crossed paths with some truly incredible people—people who have opened doors, shared opportunities, and formed partnerships that we never saw coming. It’s something we’re deeply grateful for.
When we first took over the business, we had a few things going for us:
A deep desire to create something meaningful.
A strong work ethic rooted in our everyday lives as moms and professionals.
And a tight-knit team who believed in one another.
That’s what we started with—and it’s what continues to carry us forward.
