Today we’d like to introduce you to JP Vampyrian.
Hi JP, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started as a DJ, researcher, and a minister but now I make music mostly. I also run several groups to help others online including Alternative Counseling for Alternative People and I still still do my research and remix music too. I in fact did a sermon at the Delaware Unitarian Universalist Fellowship last December 21st. I make a lot of music almost daily or weekly depending on how busy I am. My band since 2012 is Vampyrian616 and is available on many of the major platforms online as well as Bandcamp. It helps in my daily life as I hope it also helps others in similar situations.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I have always has struggles in my life but once I put my mind to something I must get it done. The only thing that has been the hardest to get past is money but I do what I can to not let it stop me. I am also disabled but use that to help others like myself
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My band Vampyrian616 which is experimental electro industrial music and I am the only member at the moment but I hope to get more help. I am a musician who writes the lyrics, synth lines, and drum loops but add other creative sounds and effects to my music. I like use sound effects as well and believe I am the only Gothic Electro Industrial artist in Delaware Ohio who is a very spiritual UU Pagan and adds that to my music. I also am one of if not the only Transgender female in Delaware, Ohio.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My wife Ashleigh Alannah helps me often as well as mostly my providers Impact Care Ohio, my councilor, therapist, and my best friend Amanda Hernandez. They all basically help my survive my health conditions and my past because of CPTSD and my past events that are too difficult to talk about. Also my friend Jeremy DiNovo helps my some technically as I am disabled and have difficulty understanding things often. I have many goth industrial as well as other bands that are too many to name but I will try to name a few. Velvet Acid Christ, Delilah Bon, Toxikk Deception, NIN, The Cure, most dark 80s music as it is my favorite, Skinny Puppy, Ogre, Prince, Youth Code, Inkubus Sukkubus, Suicide Commando, Switchblade Symphony, and many more. They helped inspire my musically.
