Rising Stars: Meet Gemini & Trilly St. Clair of Unapologetic Advice Podcast

Hi Gemini & Trilly, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
Thank you for having us. We are the hosts of Unapologetic Advice Podcast. We became a team purely based off of conversation and good vibes. And our story goes like this…

Gemini was a consumer of podcasts and liked giving her perspective. Her boyfriend at the time expressed that the world may benefit from the perspective and not just him. At that point it was just an idea. One day there was a general hang out, and Gemini and Trilly started talking about topics similar to the podcast. After several hours of similar conversation, they both decided that maybe a show could work with their chemistry of conversation and background differences.

After a few drinks in the studio with the engineer the podcast was born. The crew continues to get together about topics ranging from social media hot topics to news stories from all over the world. Countries tuning in include UK, Germany, Belgium, Mexico, Canada, and the list continues. The crew consist of Gemini and Trilly as they discuss things in a comedic and entertaining way. In addition, there are reoccurring guest and special guests along the way to add to the color commentary and various perspectives.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Overall, this has been a smooth road. The podcast was created due to the love of being creatives and having no expectations. The crew purely created the show and its content to provide life lessons and perspectives for real-life situations with a comedic twist.

For example, image your drunk uncle/auntie who is seasoned and well-traveled decided to give you some advice on life. The podcast is a sharing platform giving similar comedic messages every week.

In the past, the main struggle for the podcast was the quality of sound, but over time, this has improved drastically with better mics and reducing as much intake of “the devil’ s nectar” according to Trilly.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We both enjoy being creators. Trilly is a multimedia expert and specializes in bringing the best out of people. Filming, directing, editing, consulting, he and his wife do it all as a team. The podcast provides an opportunity to show his skillset as a conversationalist behind the mic. Trilly is unique in providing a podcast perspective that is not tailored to a specific fan base. He provides his comedic context that can be relatable on an episode like “Gooch Guilty_Vabbisode,” but then you may listen to “Help Hoes” and disagree. Trilly compares his advice to a shot of penicillin, “not as tasty but at times needed.”

Gemini is a content creator and provides a feminine perspective from a unique upbringing. Her perspective is more modern than traditional which can set her apart from other female podcasters. Gemini provides her perspective that can be relatable such as “You got a chicken bowl,” but also may be conflicting the norm such as in “A side pimp’s policy.”

Overall, the podcast provides an entertaining feel and truly makes you feel as though you walked into a room with great conversation and lots of laughs.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?

We provide entertaining, comedic yet raw perspectives to social media, news and relationship topics. We have found success within the strategy considering the podcast has obtained followers from all over the world. The feedback from the reviews include being comedic with our down-to-earth conversations. The crew works together as a team including the engineer, reoccurring guest, and special guests. Everyone in the conversation is ALWAYS treated with respect and are prepped with mic etiquette beforehand. Everyone has perspectives to share, and the podcast provides topics to do so in a safe and entertaining environment.
