Scorpio Sun Crystals started as something small—just a personal love for crystals, minerals, and the energy they carry. I’ve always been drawn to the natural beauty of stones, not just for their aesthetic but for the meaning, magic, and history they hold. At first, I was just collecting for myself, but the idea of curating mystery boxes and offering an experience beyond just buying crystals started to take shape.
What really pushed me into turning this passion into a business was a combination of personal loss and burnout. I was a teacher, but after losing my dad to bladder cancer, I found myself emotionally drained and struggling to keep up with everything. The grief, the stress, the feeling of losing a huge part of my identity—it all hit hard. I needed something that felt like mine, something that gave me a creative outlet and a sense of purpose.
That’s when I really threw myself into Scorpio Sun Crystals. It became more than just selling crystals—it became a way to connect with people, to bring them joy through little moments of discovery, and to create something meaningful. I love curating mystery boxes, designing interactive experiences like ‘roll for crystals,’ and putting together pieces that resonate with people on a deeper level. Every order feels like a small, intentional exchange of energy, and that’s what keeps me passionate about it.
This journey has been a mix of healing, growth, and learning to balance business with my own well-being. I’m still figuring it out, but Scorpio Sun Crystals has given me a space to be creative, connect with others, and feel like me again.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road—starting and running a business is never just a straight path. One of the biggest struggles has been balancing my personal life with my business, especially while navigating grief. Losing my dad was life-altering, and in many ways, Scorpio Sun Crystals became both a source of healing and a way to keep myself busy so I didn’t have to sit too long with the weight of everything. But grief doesn’t wait—it seeps into everything, even the things you love. Learning how to let it exist alongside my passion instead of letting it consume me has been a journey, but one that’s made me stronger.
On top of that, I’m also a twin mom, which means my world is constantly moving. Running a business while raising two little ones has tested me in every way, but it’s also been the most rewarding challenge. My girls are growing up watching their mom build something from the ground up, and that alone makes every hard moment worth it. They remind me to be present, to find joy in the small things, and to keep going even when things feel overwhelming. Balancing motherhood, business, and my own well-being isn’t always easy, but I’m learning that it doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful.
I’ve also had to navigate burnout, especially after leaving my teaching job. Turning something you love into a business is exciting, but it can also be draining if you’re not careful. I’m learning how to set boundaries—with my time, my energy, and even my own expectations—so I can continue to love what I do without losing myself in it.
Another big challenge has been overcoming self-doubt and severe imposter syndrome. Putting yourself and your creativity out there is vulnerable, and it’s easy to fall into the trap of wondering, What if this doesn’t work? What if people don’t connect with what I’m offering? But I’ve learned that the right people do find you. The more I trust my instincts and stay true to what feels aligned, the more Scorpio Sun Crystals grows in ways I never imagined.
The road hasn’t been smooth, but I don’t think it’s supposed to be. Every challenge is shaping me, pushing me, and reminding me why I started in the first place.

My work blends my love for crystals with my passion for storytelling and energy work, offering not just beautiful objects but tools for healing, growth, and clarity. What sets me apart is my blend of ancestral energies that influences my work. I create with a focus on meaningful connections/symbolism, drawing on my personal intuition to curate pieces that resonate with intention. It’s a space where people can explore their energy, learn about crystals, and find pieces that align with their personal journeys.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Finding a mentor or networking can be a game-changer, especially in a creative or entrepreneurial field. What has worked well for me is reaching out to people whose work I admire, whether that’s through social media or in-person events. Building genuine relationships first, without the pressure of asking for something right away, has been key. It’s also important to stay open to learning from different sources—not just one person but a community of like-minded creatives. I’ve found that sometimes a mentor can emerge from unexpected places when you’re willing to be vulnerable and share your journey.
