Hi Crystal, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
MMC was built on the backbone of my mother Gloria’s dream. In the beginning we were not honestly prepared for what we took on. Opening a restaurant was no easy feat & we quickly felt the repercussions of it. I decided to close and recalibrate the plan, and with a ton of hard work & classes we now have the thriving entity now known as Magnificent Morsels Catering!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The biggest bump in the road for MMC was the day we closed our restaurant. I truly thought that was the end of that dream. It stung & I mean really STUNG! It was a long road of taking accountability for what we did wrong and building off what we did right. This very important step is what separates the winners from those who choose to give up & complain. Magnificent Morsels didn’t fail in the normal fashion, it was taken from us and that was a hard pill to swallow because we were busy and actually seeing the possibility of success, then a minor glitch in paperwork ended up being what caused us to walk away from the dream we worked so hard for.
Lesson learned in that scenario was “Make sure you have all your business contracts reviewed by a professional”
