Rising Stars: Meet Christi Capozzi of Ohio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christi Capozzi.

Hi Christi, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
About 9 or 10 years ago, after 6 friends and family members passed away in about 8 months, I found myself in a space where depression was running every part of my life. I was drowning in every way you could imagine. I was desperate for a change and tried something new. I dove into a form of meditation that went so deep I found myself facing parts of myself I didn’t know were still there. Parts of myself that were shoved so deep away that I had forgotten that they still needed me. And so my shadow work journey began. I started diving into the past versions of me that only every needed love. I quickly started on a path of wanting to learn more so I could help others through the same process. I went through reiki training, moving through to reiki master. I studied different ways to access the Akashic Records. I learned Past Life Regression and Art Therapy. I molded myself into the coach and mentor that is able to hold space so other women can learn to love the parts of themselves they have hidden away.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No journey is every smooth. Life is not meant to be. To find yourself on a path of service to others is to find yourself surrounded by challenges. It is to find yourself moving through challenges and testing the parts of yourself you have healed, to make sure you have truly healed them. I have lost multiple groups of friends that i considered my family because they were not meant to follow this path. I lost my grandmother, who was my absolute favorite person. I spent a year after she passed with no close relationships. Just me and my cats in my tiny 1 bedroom apartment. I spent that year learning to love myself and give myself what I never had in my friendships and realtionships. I spent that year crying and being present. And it was the best thing that ever happened to me. I did all of this work, and went through all of these struggles, while still learning more to be of service, and completeing a masters degree in Illustration.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a shadow work coach. I help women go from feeling a lack of purpose to inspired and living their passion through shadow work. Because learning to see and love the parts of yourself that you have hidden away will free you from the feeling of being stuck, the feeling that something has to give. It will light a fire in your soul and bring you to a space where living a life filled with purpose is the only option. This is my favorite part of what I do. Recognizing the patterns that women are going through and giving them the steps they need to take action to move into purpose… That is what lights me up. That is what makes me so excited to do this job every day.
