Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela McClure.
Angela, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
In 2019 I started making dog treats out of my home for my grandpup Rocky. I knew all of the ingredients that I was using to make them, were good for her.
She enjoyed them so much I thought it would be a great idea if I started making them for my friends and then I started making paw balm and cakes.
In October that same year I started traveling around Ohio doing events and selling my products.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The one challenge I did have was deciding whether or not to quit my job and to start working towards my dream of one day opening up a boutique.
I called my dad and he said a couple things that really stuck with me.
He said ” well daughter, If you don’t go out there and try it, you’ll never know and you don’t want to one day look back on your life and wish you would have”.
Those words right there touched me and gave me the push I needed to get over my fear, trust in God and to know if it doesn’t workout, it’s gonna be okay. At least I tried, no regrets.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I own Rocky & Lela’s Barkery and Boutique in Vermilion, Ohio.
I carry alot of necessities that every furbaby should have from bandanas, leashes, collars, harnesses, sweaters, winter and rain coats, to toys, birthday party hats, treat, cakes and I even carry gifts for the dog lover!
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
My personality is most definitely my strongest characteristic.
As soon as you walk into my store I want you to feel welcomed and to have a relaxing shopping experience.

I love her place! My rescue dogs live her treats! She so very sweet and welcoming!
