We recently had the chance to connect with Moira Reed and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Moira , thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
What I’m being called to do now is step fully into coaching, particularly with higher level programs that invite clients to go deeper into self-discovery. For a long time, I resisted offering bigger containers of support because it felt intimidating. But now I see that those offerings create the space my clients truly need to transform and I feel ready to hold that level of impact.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am a Reiki Master, Meditation Teacher, Intuitive Coach and Energy Whisperer. I read your energy (and your homes’) and talk with Spirit to deliver you messages that you need to hear. I can see what is blocking you, physical pain, emotional baggage you have kept hidden, your fears and anxieties, even your inner child. I can get messages from your deceased loved ones and so much more.
My tag line is Shine Free because my mission is to help you release what dims your light, so you can shine authentically, without fear and live fully as yourself. My work is about helping you break free from limitations, embrace your truth and let your light radiate unapologetically.
10 years ago I decided to leave my comfortable life as a stay at home mom. Married with three young kids, I was drained and in an emotionally abusive relationship. Never feeling good enough, constantly critiqued and unable to do the things I enjoyed – I was miserable. I blame myself for not standing up and putting up stronger boundaries. The only thing I knew to do was to get out. I knew if I didn’t I would physically get ill. And as much as I wanted to keep my family together for the kids, I now know it is part of their growth and destiny too.
I stood up against my ex and asked for a divorce. And I stood up to my Irish/German Catholic family. Family members disagreed with me, tried to per sway me, didn’t believe me etc. It was HARD. However, I found those who supported me, leaned on them and forged ahead.
But moving out on my own, having my children 70% of the time, and trying to find myself again was a lot. I was intent on still being there for my kids in the same ways I had always been. Being there when they got home from school, trying to make every sporting event and extracurricular activity of theirs and even being the PTO President at their elementary school. To say the least, I was exhausted. I kept going to energy workers, made vision boards, continued to read spiritual and personal growth books and began doing the things I enjoyed again. I was playing golf when I could, bought a bike to ride in my own time, started hanging out with people outside of my comfort zone, began kayaking and realized my love for the outdoors. I slowly began remembering who I was. And I began going after what I wanted to do.
I grew up in a spiritual family, was always into the metaphysical since young and had a mystical experience in my early 30’s. I knew down deep I had a calling and it involved helping others and working with Spirit.
But I wouldn’t have been supported following my calling if I would have stayed in my marriage. I wouldn’t have been able to put money into a business I wanted to build. And I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing now if I didn’t have the courage to follow my soul’s urge.
I opened my business in 2017 to help others with what I had been searching for all along. I wanted others to remember who they were and why they came to this earth. To fulfill their Divine mission in this lifetime.
Since 2017, I have seen hundreds of clients, learned to read tarot, developed workshops, a coaching program and in 2024 opened a wellness center named… you guessed it…The Shine Free Wellness Center.
Our Wellness Center that I opened with a friend is a place for everyone. We have The Energy Enhancement System, which is scalar technology which gets your body in the perfect state to heal itself. Our bodies are miracles and we were always meant to heal ourselves and this incredible technology helps you do just that. The Center has opened the door for me to meet so many wonderful new people. Healers that I didn’t know in the area have also come into my life. Some now work out of or teach classes at our Center. We have a massage therapist, a sound healer, yoga teachers, a Tai Chi Master, a breathwork practitioner and more. Our place oozes good energy and is a sanctuary where you can recharge. It’s an atmosphere where you can truly reconnect with your soul, awaken your light and feel at peace.
What I am really focusing on now is my coaching program. I have seen how many people are not just seeking temporary relief, but lasting clarity in their lives, Through personalized coaching, energy alignment and powerful self-discovery practices, I walk beside my clients as they navigate their story, look within at who they really are and reclaim their light.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
In my early 30’s I had what you’d call a mystical experience. I went to an energy worker for the first time in my life. I had always gone to tarot readers, palm readers, psychics etc. but had never been to an energy worker or Reiki Master. Someone recommended it to me for my allergies. I realized a woman I had seen sporadically for tarot readings also did Reiki, so I booked with her. Once this woman put her hands on me, I felt like I was levitating on the table. I wasn’t really, but that is what it felt like to me. Then it was as if my head and hips were really far away from each other and I felt as if I had extensions coming off my abdomen. Like arms almost and I experienced morphing into everything around me. It was a wild and profound encounter of sensing my soul and realizing without a doubt that we are all one and all connected. A lot of things changed for me from that experience – instantly and yet at the same time lessons unfolded gradually over time. I always believed in a higher power, but things shifted from my narrow image of God as a man in the sky to awakening to the vastness of our universe and countless universes beyond.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, there have been times I almost gave up running my business. It’s hard work – more than most people realize. There’s the constant push and juggling; decisions and responsibilities and the weight of knowing it all rests on your shoulders. But beyond that, holding space for people, guiding them through their healing or self-discovery can get heavy. You absorb their emotions, their struggles, their fears. Sometimes I wish I could just clock in to a mind numbing job, go through the motions and leave it behind at the end of the day. But I know that would never fulfill me and it would mean turning away from my life purpose. Once you’ve been awakened to your calling, it’s almost impossible to go back and the struggle is real. The reward, however, is immeasurable. Seeing someone’s life shift, their light return, the aha moments, the messages received from the other side – it makes every challenge worth it.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What do you believe is true but cannot prove?
I guess there is so much I believe, but cannot prove and don’t have the answers to. I believe we all come from Source Energy, but where does that come from? Where does it begin and where does it end? I believe in Angels, Light Beings, Spirit Guides and ET’s. I believe in past lives, parallel universes and different planes of existence. I know I get messages from deceased loved ones and can share those messages which resonate, but I cannot prove exactly where they are. I’ve witnessed paranormal activity in homes and can know what it is, but I can’t really prove anything. So much we will never know in this lifetime, but I do think the world and humanity is evolving, which will include thinning of the veil as they say.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What will you regret not doing? 
I would regret not taking the leap – whether that’s in my work or relationships. I would regret playing small and settling. I also would regret not making the most out of this life on earth and all it has to offer. This has been something I’ve learned over the years – to allow myself to have fun. A part of me didn’t think I was allowed or deserved to enjoy life fully; always thinking I had to just push through it.
