Hi Zion, we’re excited to have you here. Please share a bit about yourself and your role in the creation and success of Chicken Scratch. We’re eager to hear about your journey.
Chicken Scratch started because I searched for something to pass on to my kids. Hint on the colors (red, yellow, black) my sons call me Mr. Incredible.
It wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Our journey hasn’t been without its challenges. In 2024, we took on the ambitious task of opening two restaurants simultaneously, one in downtown Indy and the other in Cincinnati. It was a tough year, but we persevered and came out stronger.
As you know, we’re big fans of Chicken Scratch. For our readers who might need to become more familiar with the brand, what can you tell them about it?
Chicken Scratch serves fresh food, not fast food. We specialize in making everything from scratch. Our sauces and seasonings are what sets us apart from others. Chicken Scratch was founded in September 2021, and since then, we’ve managed to open 3 different locations. I am proud to say that each area is thriving, and there’s more to come. In addition, Chicken Scratch is kid-friendly, and we offer free arcade games. The colors are inspired by the movie “The Incredibles.” This idea came from my children calling me Mr. Incredible.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Chicken Scratch was founded in honor of my mom. She owned a restaurant before she passed, and I wanted to continue her legacy and start my own.
