Hi Yung, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?

“Hello, I am Scott, better known as Yung Frost, a spirited musician from Columbus, Ohio on a profound journey in the music world. From my early days at 17, I delved deep into the music scene and co-founded the iconic rap duo “SG Boyz” in Central Ohio’s underground rap scene. At the youthful age of 21, I ventured into a solo career, turning down 3 major record deals to uphold the purity of my music and the liberty of artistic expression.

As my musical journey unfolded, by 2016 fate intertwined my path with Tone from Hough Harlem in Cleveland, Ohio, sparking a collaboration that transcended boundaries which eventually led Tone to be Inaugurate as President of Something Greater™️, a venture founded by Yung Frost®️ in 2020.

With Yung Frost®️ music touching the souls of listeners worldwide, amassing over 1 million views on YouTube and 1.3 million streams on various music platforms with 9 successful solo albums released, caused a drift to the syndicated algorithms, backed by Tone’s tireless efforts, garnering 5.9 million profile impressions, 5.1 million users reached & 113k post reshares; proved without a reasonable doubt the Something Greater™️ was here to stay.

By mid-2023, Something Greater™️ ascended to (Supreme Greatness™️), driven & fueled by passion and dedication, Yung Frost decided to give back to the Ohio music community through innovative means. This vision blossomed into a movement, capturing the essence of unity and creativity. Henceforth creating the (OHIOvsOHIO™️) mixtape series, spotlighting local up & coming emerging Hip-Hop/R&B artists from the state of Ohio. The launch of the (OHIOvsOHIO™️ Vol 1) mixtape on New Year’s Eve 2023 featured 26 talented Ohio artists and paved the way for (OHIOvsOHIO™️ Vol 2) with 23 new artists, causing a musical wave that captivated hip-hop fans worldwide across 13 audio platforms nationally and 3 exclusive international platforms stationed in Europe, Africa & Japan.

Currently, Yung Frost is excitedly preparing for the release of (OHIOvsOHIO™️ Vol 3). A groundbreaking all-female lineup, to be unveiled in the summer of 2024. As well as plans for (OHIOvsOHIO Vol 4), featuring an all-male lineup, set for release in winter 2024. In addition, to the collaboration with Industry Free Radio located in Dayton, Ohio, for the launch of the (OHIOvsOHIO™️ Mobile Podcast Series) setting the stage for the grand (OHIOvsOHIO™️ Statewide Tour) in the spring of 2025, with promises of a melodic journey like never before.

It wasn’t a smooth road, nor was it rocky. Along the path to achieving Something Greater. At any given time unexpected challenges can arise instantaneously, but the key lies in being prepared to overcome each hurdle that comes your way. In essence, it all comes down to one word: resilience. Embrace the obstacles, for they are the stepping stones on your journey to unravel Supreme Greatness.
