Meet Wendell Adkins of Perfect Perspectives Aerial Services

Today we’d like to introduce you to Wendell Adkins.

Hi Wendell, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
As a kid growing up in Dayton I was fascinated by the Wright Brothers story. This led to me becoming a pilot and starting an aerial filming business along with my wife Leisa in 2005.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It was very difficult at first as most of the equipment was hand built before today’s more modern drones were developed. We used radio controlled helicopters flown without any GPS autopilot assistance.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Our business has two primary markets – 1. Motion pictures/television/marketing media and 2. Engineering and construction support.

How do you think about luck?
We were extremely lucky to have a background in flying radio controlled aircraft that allowed us to become one of the nations first drone services companies.
