Meet Tyler Vandervort of Cincinnati

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyler Vandervort

Hi Tyler, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
From the moment I picked up a camera in high school, I knew storytelling was my path. What began with filming YouTube videos in Southern Indiana led to filming weddings in college and eventually grew into running my own videography business in Cincinnati for the past four years.

I’ve worked on commercial projects, social media content, and international documentary work for brands and institutions, including television and filming at the Grand Ole Opry. I also explore personal projects, such as a thriller short film about a character trapped in a Matrix-like simulation. I love storytelling and all things cameras!

My faith has played a significant role in my work, with much of it doubling as my devotion to ministries and serving the kingdom.

Whether it’s a film, a commercial, or social media content, my goal remains the same: to create compelling stories that connect with people. With each project, I continue refining my craft and pushing my creativity further.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s definitely had its ups and downs. In the early years of my career, I spent two years pouring my heart into a project that I thought might define my future, only for it to fall through just before the finish line. It was a tough blow, but it ultimately forced me to redirect my focus toward my business—where I’ve since found the greatest success.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a filmmaker and videographer and film photographer specializing in storytelling across a variety of formats. Whether it’s a corporate video, a personal project, or even a photograph. I’m most proud of work that has helped direct people to the kingdom! I have helped ministries with their marketing, which has helped them gain more reach! What sets me apart is my focus on both the artistry and the impact of storytelling, always aiming to connect with the audience on a deeper level.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Tough question… One thing about me is I love people and hold strong empathy for others. I wouldn’t say I’m the strongest business mind at times, but I do have a passionate, creative mind and am trustworthy. I think clients can see that when they work with me.
