Today we’d like to introduce you to Tony Sangialosi
Hi Tony, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
It’s a funny story actually. about 13 years ago my youngest daughter went to an after school program in canfield. I remember her coming home that day SO excited she learned how to shoot a bow. Growing up I shot guns and bows but nothing serious.
She actually asked if Santa would bring her one. So my wife and I went to the store and started looking at bows. I figured I would get one also, so we could shoot together….. Well, she’s out doing whatever and I’m stuck with a massive addiction lol. We actually enjoyed shooting for years, and then the teenage years crept in and I was no longer “Cool”. But man, did I sure love shooting my bow.
Like anything I do, I dive ALL the way in. I needed to learn everything about archery, hunting, the engineering of a bow etc. I first started with tuning my own bows from watching Youtube videos. From there I started building my own arrows, and really enjoyed how I could make an arrow fly so precise. My friends took notice and I started then building their arrows. Before I knew it, had people all over asking me to build there arrows, I was blown away. That’s where our Original Company “33OH Archery” was formed.
Fast forward about a year and a friend of mine who had a Bowstring Business was doing well but had other Business Ventures he was perusing and jokingly asked me to buy the company. After a long ride home to think about it, and support of my wife I was all in.
Now 3 years later, a bunch of new friends and products we sell, we went from a “side gig” to a full blown business. And it all stemmed from my daughters after school program. Funny how things turn out.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In any business, you’ll have people who love you and people who will hate you for no reason. We outwardly speak of our Christian Faith which is a big “no no” in the business world but that’s who we are. I’m not afraid to lose business over what I believe. I guess that’s why people like us haha.
There have been challenging nights. Those nights the enemy likes to creep into my head and tell me lies. But we fight through. Anyone and everyone will have doubts, but I know I was put here on this earth to introduce kids and adults to archery and bowhunting. I live everyday to continue to make those dreams come alive
We’ve been impressed with Drawn Archery, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are Drawn Archery. WE build Strings for your Compound Bow. From Target bows, to Hunting Bow we hand make from each single fiber, a string strong enough to near lift a car. We also Invented our first Hunting Product this year called “the WND” or wind Navigation Device which has blow up for us!
What sets us apart from the others is our local feel but BIG BUSINESS quality. You can reach me anytime personally for bow tuning questions or arrow questions etc. You could never do that with a larger company. The people or “customers” is why i got into this in the first place. I love hearing all their hunting stories and how their bow shot so well for them this year after our strings were put on. I get to be apart of every single persons hunt. Its really an amazing feeling!
What I want people to know about this brand is, when you do business with us, it’s setting a new standard on how the outdoor industry should be doing business. As hunters we should have honesty, integrity and loyalty amongst us. These big box stores, simply move you in and out like cattle. I want every customer who does business with us to have “an experience”. They simple don’t get that anymore anywhere else.

That my wife and daughters are my biggest fans. I know I’m the face of the business, but without them I would be NOTHING. Every time I have a crazy idea, they’re the catalyst. They root me on so loud, I cant even hear if anyone else is clapping. And for that, I’ll NEVER fail them, EVER.
Some wives or kids may think their old mans ideas are nuts haha, not these 3 women. They believe in me every step of the way
