Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenny Girardot and Sarah Erman
Hi Jenny & Sarah, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
We love riding roller coasters.
We are the only sisters in 9 siblings growing up. Our parents used to take us to Cedar Point each summer and we were encouraged to ride roller coasters as soon as we were tall enough. In our hometown, we had a small park that had 2 coasters. We went there quite often and it was from there that our love for thrills began.
Roller Coasters and amusement park were a part of our lives growing up so we naturally learned to love them. Once we got older, we started planning trips to more amusement parks to explore and ride more roller coasters.
Our closest, or “home park” is Cedar Point in Sandusky. There is nothing better than spending a day in Ohio at our favorite place. Sandusky is such a beautiful town on the shores of Lake Erie, and we would love to move there one day.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We’ve been held back from roller coaster trips because of physical ailments. In 2021, Sarah had surgery that almost kept her from roller coasters for the summer and in 2022, Jenny missed the the second half of the summer due to being pregnant with her first child. We learned that it’s still fun to go to amusement parks and enjoy the sights and sounds.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
We created our first social media channel @_coastergirls on Instagram in 2022 so we could share our love for amusement parks and travel with the world. We are so happy with the friendships we have made and are proud of our positive reputation in the roller coaster community.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Don’t be afraid to try new things. Roller coasters are safer than cars and airplanes! There is nothing more fun than planning a trip with your friends and getting lost in a new amusement park while exploring all around you. We wish we had started exploring sooner!
