Today we’d like to introduce you to Shaura Rodgers
Hi Shaura, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Shaura Rodgers entrepreneurial spirit began at the early age of 10 delivering newspapers in the neighborhood of Garfield Heights, Ohio. She was always an inquisitive child watching real estate shows instead of cartoons. At age 16, she landed a retail sales position and within one year was promoted to a management position. After making the cheer team at Central State University, she declined, deciding college was not for her and chose to take classes at her local community college. Nevertheless, by age 19, she was then promoted to Store Manager and District training Manager for the retail franchise company. Thereafter, she realized she was born a leader and was destine for greatness.
At age 22, she revisited her interest in doing hair and nails for family & friends & decided to take a leap of faith and pursue the cosmetology field full time. She had the opportunity to work, attend school, care for her small children while being self-employed. After being in the cosmetology field for 8 years, she decided to pursue another dream as cheer coach! Since 2008, this dream has blossomed into a wonderful growing organization coaching and mentoring children aged 3-18. With that being said she now has a Nail Academy, Cheer and dance Gym and Full-service salon while still serving clients with the real estate and credit restoration needs.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road hasn’t been smooth, and I believe will never be especially with managing multiple businesses. I believe with the proper planning and teams is what makes the businesses successful.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My advice for anyone getting started is to get or pay a mentor and start! It’s hard to start on your own with little to no guidance so attaching yourself to a mentor that has been through the rooms and hurdles before will save you time and money!
