Today we’d like to introduce you to Randy Pugh.
Hi Randy, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
When I started Full Throttle Studios, it wasn’t the beginning of my career — it was the culmination of it. I’ve been in the photography arena for over four decades, learning the craft long before digital made things easy. From film to modern sensors, studio lighting to real-world environments, photography has always been about more than taking a picture — it’s about understanding light, timing, and how people connect with an image.
Along the way, that visual mindset naturally expanded into graphics. For more than three decades, I’ve been designing layouts, branding, and print materials, watching design trends come and go while focusing on what actually works. Good design isn’t about flash — it’s about clarity, balance, and purpose. Those years built a deep respect for visual communication and how it influences perception.
More than two decades ago, web design and development became the next evolution. As businesses moved online, I leaned in — learning not just how to design websites, but how they function, how users interact with them, and how they drive real results. Code, structure, performance, and user experience became just as important as visuals. This is what I know, and I know it because I’ve lived it, adapted with it, and grown alongside it.
Today, Full Throttle Studios is built around the idea of being a creative pit crew — stepping in to help brands run stronger, faster, and smarter. The studio specializes in web design, photography, video production, branding, and AI-powered marketing systems, with a strong focus on automotive aftermarket and performance-driven businesses.
Every project starts with understanding the client’s world. It’s not about chasing trends or delivering cookie-cutter solutions — it’s about building tools that actually work. Websites are designed to convert, visuals are created with purpose, and marketing systems are built to support long-term growth. The goal is always the same: help businesses present themselves at the level their products and services deserve.
Looking back, the journey hasn’t been about shortcuts or overnight success. It’s been about staying curious, evolving with technology, and never losing the builder mentality that started it all. Full Throttle Studios today reflects that philosophy — part creative studio, part technical shop, and always focused on turning horsepower into momentum.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There are always struggles. One of my big ones was working on projects while holding down a full time job and learning new technologies and techniques.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We build websites, produce content, design graphics, run email campaigns, create catalogs, shoot photography and video, and help companies tell their story in a way that feels real and connects with customers. A lot of our clients are restoration shops, parts manufacturers, racing organizations, and performance brands, and they like working with us because we actually understand their world — the cars, the culture, the community, and the business side of it.
What sets us apart is the way we think. We approach every project like tuning an engine. It’s not just “make it pretty.” It’s:
Does it convert? Is it fast? Is it clear? Is it built to grow?
Brand-wise, we’re most proud that Full Throttle Studios feels authentic. The voice, the visuals, the style — it’s built around passion for performance, craftsmanship, and doing things right. We don’t try to be a generic agency. We lean into what we love, and our clients feel that.
If there’s one thing readers should take away, it’s this: our goal is to be a creative pit crew for businesses that want to look professional, communicate better, and sell more — without feeling overwhelmed by technology and marketing. Whether it’s a website, a promo video, social media content, or a full brand refresh, we help take ideas from concept to finished product and keep everything consistent.
We like seeing clients win — and being part of that process is what drives us.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Early on, it’s tempting to say yes to everything — every project, every client, every opportunity. And sometimes that’s how you learn. But over time, you start to realize that not every job is the right job. If a project doesn’t value your time, ignores your process, or constantly pushes you to cut corners, it can cost you more than it pays. Learning when to politely say no protects your energy, your reputation, and your business in the long run.
