Today we’d like to introduce you to Paige.
Hi Paige, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
I always wanted to be an artist. Ever since I was a little girl, I pictured myself on stage performing in front of thousands, winning Grammys, and having a huge fan base. Growing up, my mom put me in a lot of music and dance classes. She had me take piano, flute, and guitar lessons. I was in choir for 8 years, I acted in musicals and was chosen to go away for a weekend for Honor Choir. But like most kids, I was told to go to college and get a degree that would secure my future. While I was entering my senior year at the University of Cincinnati, I was leaving work one night and was walking across a pedestrian crosswalk and a car hit me. I was unconscious for up to 30 minutes and spent time in multiple hospitals over the next two weeks. I suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) along with other various injuries. Some were visible, but many were not. I still live with swelling and blood on my brain today. I have nerve damage down my left leg and many bulging disks in my neck. After this major wake up all, despite the pain, I started pursuing my real passion, music. Since my accident back in 2018, I released my debut album ‘Hottie Red’ including two music videos, “It Look Good” and “Bless.” I’ve performed across the United States in places like ATL Birthday Bash, Dallas, Las Vegas, and many more. In March of this year, 2023, I will be touring along Bugus, off Russ’s label, and R&B singer Journey Montana. My mom and I also became published authors to our first book, “She Looks Fine,” about the patients’ and caregivers’ viewpoints of TBI. There has been many ups and downs in my journey so far, but I wouldn’t change anything. I am grateful God has taken me thus far, and I know we will only continue to go higher.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in entertaining. I always put on a show that no one forgets. I am very proud of my music and how it makes people feel good. It empowers people, especially women, to believe in themself and feel sexy in their own skin. My music encompasses a multitude of genres, and I make sure everyone feels seen. I am most known for my ‘Hottie Red’ rap/pop album released July 2022. Shortly after releasing it I performed at ATL Birthday Bash auditions, where I secured my spot for entertaining people many years to come. I keep up-to-date socials so everyone following me can get the 411 on what’s going on with my new music. I’m currently working on another album, with collaboration from artists that the world knows, and I am very excited to release this one! I think what sets me apart from others is I’m a real go-getter. I don’t take the answer “no” lightly, and I usually accomplish what I set out to get.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
I am happy while spending time with people or just by myself. I have a disciplined morning and night routine that involve daily psalms, gratitude, visualization, and more. These times always bring me joy. I also love kicking it with my family and friends, mostly on the weekends. I work every day on my businesses, but I take breaks to celebrate the accomplishments. I recently launched my merchandise brand called “Official PAIGE Merch,” and every time I see the website it makes me smile. I designed everything from the website to the designs to the photo shoots I’ve done for it. I get gratification from seeing my work come to life. Things I do for fun are take walks in nature (weekly), use my Polaroid, go out to shows with friends, and watch movies at home.
