Meet Nicole Scott

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Scott.

Hi Nicole, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
Nicole Scott, 26, Music Producer, Rapper, Singer, Music Video Production Assistant, and aspiring actress was born in Cleveland, Oh. Both parents had a musical background. I believe it was my parents who innately gave me my love and aspirations in music & entertainment, My father was a pianist and my mother was a singer. As a child, I moved to different cities which affected my musical and creative preferences. I graduated high school at 16 and invested in my studio equipment.

I originally started singing and rapping over songs, which ultimately progressed into me learning how to produce beats, and then it was on from there. After years in the pursuit of perfecting my craft, I got the opportunity to sing for Michael Bivins, I have sold hundreds of beats, I have appeared in Peezy’s “Big Worm” music video as the main female role, I have assisted in production for multiple music videos, most recently “TWIN” Roddy Ricch ft. Lil Durk and this is only just the beginning.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I think when most people see someone finally achieving a dream it almost looks like instant success not knowing it took overcoming so many different variables. I’m not where I want to be yet but I have had challenges along the way that have ultimately made me who I am today and fortified me for the path that I’m on.

When it comes to the music and entertainment industry you have to have thick skin. I went through years of self-development, years of “NOs” or “You’re not ready’s” to see any type of tangible advancement in my career. I have battled mental health issues and body-image issues, and I am a survivor of domestic violence. At the end of the day, I just want to be another reason somebody keeps going.

In everything that I do, even as a child, I have always promoted love, positivity, personal advancement, and overall collectiveness. I have had people tell me how I have picked myself up from adversity and bounced back has inspired them to keep going and believing in themselves and their passions. That and being able to provide generational wealth for my family are the reasons I keep going. Anything else is just extra.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I have a lot of different skill sets in within the creative field, but I specialize in music production. I play piano, drums, and violin. In traditional respects, people would consider the genre of music I create to be Hip/Hop, R&B, and Soulful music.

I feel like what sets me apart from others is that whether it be a song or a beat for a specific client the sound I create will be timeless. You could listen to it today or 10 years from now and it still sounds modern, catchy, and refreshing to the spirit.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
I’m looking to collaborate with more creatives, specifically fellow singers, rappers, and content creators in Ohio who want to create timeless and groundbreaking art.
