Hi Nicki, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The Galactic Oasis was born out of a desire to create a non-restrictive community-centered space with an emphasis on bringing together educators and facilitators working towards shifting our current consciousness to one of personal sovereignty and accountability. To grow through the limitations of a capitalist economy, to an economy of interdependence and support.
Brigid Hopkins, Lisa Harris, and Nicki Schneider have worked together and independently for many years exploring numerous eclectic healing and wellness modalities. The Galactic Oasis chose this location to redefine the generative power of a community working for the greater good of the whole and not the individual.
The Galactic Oasis is an undefined space that will continue to morph and change alongside the needs of the people, as the community integrates the energies of the Aquarian Age.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Creating a business centered around paradigm shifts is not an easy task.
We liken it to creating a path through a forest – you have no path in front of you, no guideposts; just the drive to create a new way and a machete.
Some days are harder than others, but our commitment and love of the Galactic Oasis and ourselves keep us determined and motivated.
It is an exercise of putting one’s skills into action. We lead by example, not theory.
We’ve been impressed with Galactic Oasis , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Galactic Oasis is a space for education, empowerment and paradigm shifts.
As the proprietors and stewards, we individually and collectively offer various workshops and gatherings centered around personal and community development, wellness and plant medicine to name some of our focus. We also work with other educators and facilitators to offer evenings of music and poetry, a space to gather, meet with clients and even just a space to be alone and work on your own art. We host private events that are specifically tailored to the groups needs.
We also offer our weekly Galactic Gazette newsletter that not only shares upcoming programming, but also current astrology and oracle readings (Cosmic Corner, Lisa Harris), poetry and artistic musings (Brigid Hopkins) and essays and ramblings about plant medicine, foraging and wildlife (Nicki Schneider) – a beautiful and insightful offering we put a lot of ourselves into weekly.
We’d hazard to guess nothing like the Galactic Oasis exists anywhere – a welcoming space to work on personal development, be in community and simply just BE.
You’ll also notice we don’t have much internet presence. We prefer to grow organically, trusting those that are meant to find us, you will.

How do you define success?
For us, success is waking up every day, doing what you love, and living life as you envision. Full support simply being you. Without denying or overemphasizing the struggles that living a self-directed life involves. No one can tell you how to live, you have to discover and define for yourself what supports your guiding principles.
We actively work individually and together to grow beyond our conditioning.
