Meet Megan Furby

Today we’d like to introduce you to Megan Furby.

Hi Megan, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up in Knox County and eventually went to Ashland University where I majored in Production Media and minored in Public Relations. Since then I’ve been trying to spread joy and positivity online. I’ve always been a person who likes to make people smile and that’s what I want to bring to my platform.

Along with sharing the news about my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. With how everything in this world is going today we need some joy and faith and that’s what I like to bring to the table. The reason I’ve been able to spread joy and my faith is due to the amazing support of friends and family I have surrounding me.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
I wouldn’t say it’s been awful but I think it was more of being in my head, self-doubt. Which I think everyone has had at one time or another. Is this something I want to do, is it worth it, how could this benefit me, and anything else that could pop into your head? But I have a great support system so it’s been pretty good.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a digital creator who loves sharing the Word, talking about God, spreading positivity, and sharing my colorful wardrobe. I’m most proud of choosing to be me and sharing my interests and not caring what others think. I use to be someone who was always wondering what others think of me.

Now I think if someone thinks a certain way about me, they can think that I’m not here to be worried about that. I know who I am and what I represent and I’m happy to share that. What sets me apart is my platform is pretty unique to me. I have my personality and stick to it. My channel is pretty characterized to me and nothing else. I enjoy certain topics and stick to them. I enjoy making people informed on topics that I like and seeing how many have the same interests.

We’d love to hear what you think about risk-taking.
I was never a risk taker. But as I got older I felt like a risk was something to try, to just go for it. I think my major in college helped me with taking risks. My major was more of if you don’t speak up or say yes, someone else could take that position from you. So to me, it’s not a big risk but something that made me better as I grew up. So I would take every event I could and I would say yes.

To me taking a risk in something you want to do is worth it. If not majority of the time you’ll have the thought “what if” and that’s never fun to have that thought. Life I believe has risks, it’s just like taking chances and if you don’t take them you’ll just stay in the same spot you are now. So just take a leap of faith.
