Meet Lucas Kendzerski

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lucas Kendzerski.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Thank you for having me, you could say that my life has been seemingly ordinary up until the past five years or so. I attended public school my entire life and drifted from grade to grade not worrying about too much except the next test coming up and when I could go see my friends.

This all changed for me in 2017 when I was 16 years old and I was accepted into Delaware Area Career Center’s Fire Fighter program. At the time I saw this as just an escape from the day-to-day life at a high school but in reality the years I spent there changed the way I saw the world and the opportunities it possessed.

My time at DACC was truly life-changing for me, although by the end I did decide not to continue down the road of being a firefighter, the results from attending this school are very evident to me. I gained the confidence and willpower to attack any goal I set my mind on and make my dreams become a reality. Currently, I am 21 years old working as a brand ambassador for major companies and running my own business as a notary public agent loan signing agent.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Truth is I’m not sure there is such a thing as an obstacle-free journey, each one has its ups and downs. I find that difficult times are necessary for making hard decisions, these decisions are what form our life and ultimately determine how fulfilled we feel. For me, some of my hardest and most life-changing decisions have left many people I’ve known shocked, confused, and overall bewildered, however, these choices have made me happier than I ever thought possible.

My largest and most life-changing of these decisions would be when I decided to leave college to be a full-time entrepreneur and brand ambassador. At the time very few people in my life agreed with this decision and tried to talk me out of it but I didn’t let that stop me from pursuing something I believed in. Now I get to travel to fabulous events and meet incredible influencers as a carrier. Truly one of the hardest decisions I’ve made but I don’t regret it for a moment.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Being an entrepreneur is equally thrilling as it is completely terrifying. In the beginning, there is nothing handed to you, every opportunity you have to put your best self on the line and hope that you make a good enough impression for them to remember you. Slowly over time, you learn the ins and outs of just how things are meant to be done, and you accumulate wonderful experiences and others who you can rely on. Before you can even realize it you have a team that supports you and can rely on you to perform.

Yet again I am beginning this journey in a whole new environment, transitioning from a role of traveling and representing others to one where I represent myself. I still plan on being a brand ambassador while I begin this next chapter but I am aiming to create a company where I can grow beyond myself. I am eager to begin this journey and see what path this decision leads me down.

What does success mean to you?
Success to me is a combination of multiple questions one must ask themselves. The first and possibly most relevant is are you proud of what you do, does it excite you to think about it to the point where you feel almost like a child again? If you are not fulfilled with what you do and it does not give you profound excitement then I would challenge the idea you would feel successful in that field.

The second question for many is the initial one that comes to mind, do you feel as though you are being compensated your full worth and that you can provide for the lifestyle you want? Many Americans get caught up and stuck on this, they believe they may have to sacrifice their pride and enthusiasm for a job that pays them well.

You can easily see how this quickly becomes a problem for many, sure they may be making a lot of money and can get the big house with fancy cars, but this comes with the sacrifice of loathing even the idea of going to a job that takes up a significant amount of your life.

Lastly one must ask themselves if they feel free, the freedom to attend their kid’s soccer games, to travel, to take time off when they need it to spend with the people they care about. Success is when you combine passion, compensation, and freedom into a constant state that allows you to be at your very best.
