Meet Liz Calhoun of ReSculpt Aesthetics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Liz Calhoun.

Hi Liz, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My first career was as a cosmetologist in my home state of Kentucky. When I moved to Ohio to be with my then boyfriend, Jeremy, (now husband) I decided to make a career change and go to nursing school. I graduated nursing school in 2017, and accepted a position as a nurse in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Miami Valley Hospital. Covid changed everything about nursing, I was in a dark place and needed to do something about it. New Years Day 2022, my husband I were planning out what we wanted the new year to look like personally and professionally – I said my goal was to blend my cosmetology career and nursing career – and here we are! I began working for a medspa in the Dayton area in March 2022, opened ReSculpt in July 2024, then opened The Alcoves by ReSculpt in June 2025. I wanted to open a space of safety, comfort, and expertise in the self care industry.
We have two kids, Blair (6), Gibson (4), our dog Cash, our orange cat Carter, and reside outside of Springfield.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not! I feel like I am always on a rollercoaster of highs and lows!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about ReSculpt Aesthetics?
I own both ReSculpt Aesthetics, a medspa in Beavercreek Ohio, and The Alcoves by ReSculpt, a self care sanctuary that houses Resculpt Aesthetics along with multiple estheticians. We want to be a safe place to come feel your best self, taking time out of your busy life to relax, unwind, have a glass of champagne, and enjoy time around other women who want the same. One of my clients recently wrote a review putting in words what I have aspired to bring to the community – “your business is bringing mothers, daughters, sisters, and friends together empowering them to achieve their beauty goals in ways they never imagined they could before. You arent anything like a plastics office just pushing products, there is heart to it, there is passion, and most of all authenticity. Ive never seen or done advanced aesthetics with a business like yours and what makes you and reSculpt aesthetics special and will keep people coming back.”
ReSculpt Aesthetics specializes in neurotoxin, dermal fillers, and PDO lifting threads. I think what I am best known for is full facial balancing. I hardly ever just treat one area of the face, to look your most natural, elevated self we need to look at the whole face. Treating just one area is when results begin to look “fake”. I am also not afraid to tell my clients no. It builds trust and your clients always look their best.
The Alcoves is also home of RainBeauty by Heather Hancock – advanced esthetician, make up artist, custom spray tan artist, and our newest service Japanese Scalp Spa! Skin Sanctuary by Kaylee Kegley – an advanced esthetician, and Face Reality Expert, specializing in acne. Kylie Alcorn, – advanced esthetician specializing in lash enhancements and brows. We have additional space to add one more self care experts ie massage therapy, natural nail artists, tiny tattoo artists, etc.
