Today we’d like to introduce you to Liam Michael.
Liam, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started acting in 2021 when my mom’s friend asked if I wanted to be in a feature film about a serial killer. It was my first role at 8 years old. I have always been interested in art in some way, but once I got on set for the first time, I knew that’s what I was meant to do. We filmed at a few locations over the course of a couple weeks, and once it wrapped, I wanted to do more so badly. My mom and I spent time getting me ready, having headshots done, and creating my IMDb page. The following summer, a director wrote in a part for me. I auditioned for and got a few more roles after that, and then I landed my biggest speaking role to date with The Dinner With The God Of War. Every new character I take on is fun. My dream when I grow up is to be a famous actor and win an academy award.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Sometimes I get sad when I don’t get the part, but that just makes me try harder the next time. I’ve taken improv classes, along with other acting classes, and working one on one with an acting coach. I focus every day on bettering my skills. No actor is perfect, but if I keep working at it and trying really hard, I know I can achieve great things.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m known for young Carter in the feature film The Company We Keep, directed by Jeff Edelstein, and young Atreus in The Dinner with The God of War, created by Jarrell Pyro Johnson. I’ve done a handful of other parts, including the boy in pajamas in the play Into The Woods, along with a fashion show for a bridal boutique and even a model for a calendar. I also have some exciting parts coming up that you’ll just have to follow me to see what they are!
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Hard work and determination are the most important when it comes to acting along with talent.
