Hi Kymyanna, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
After an incident involving an irate customer sparked me to sever ties with a popular Columbus restaurant– I was divinely guided to turn to the beauty industry. From in house braiding, to salon home difficulties, each transition came swiftly. All creating the foundation of the best salon service experience in Columbus, OH. Sesoned Co. by Kym Kay provides a luxury haircare experience, upholding standards for professionalism, and integrity.
I developed my brand as a busy mom, and entrepreneur. Navigating things like 5 day school weeks, and trips to The Little Gym for my daughter! Looking back things were seemingly impossible to juggle, but the dedication and persistence required of me during these times; have allowed me to shape a compassionate, and integral haircare brand that caters to the over all experience of my guest.
I am thankful everyday that my lucrative profession is an art.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The obstacles have definitely presented themselves. There were days where the pressure was consuming. Social, and financial difficulties while trying to juggle a school, work, life, balance. Minimum sleep. Constant state of concern… can I do this? Is this worth it? Mental battles everyday, and trying to keep winning them. When they say diamonds are made under pressure they weren’t lying.

I am a licensed cosmetologist who specializes in custom color, and extensions. I’m known for SesonedCo. which started out as a body care brand, and shifted gracefully to a beauty service based business. I’m extremely proud of the dedication that I keep for my brand. I worked so hard in the traditional workplace, I felt like I owed it to myself to dedicate the same energy! There is no other haircare provider in Columbus that will allow you the same comfort from booking to payment– in a world of heavy booking policies, i’m your breath of fresh air.
What matters most to you? Why?
What matter most to me is always putting my best foot forward. There are no half steps, because my clients don’t deserve half steps. Because I always give my best i’ve benefited with creating some amazing client relationships! They have inspired me even further to continue developing SesonedCo. as a laid back, comforting, and reassuring brand where all are welcomed!
