Hi Jessica, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’m a music engineer &producer
Music has always been my way of life I enjoy the rhythms and blues of string guitars the chorus from choirs . And once I got older and my first laptop I downloaded a music engineer software and have been creating Katie ever since. I’m also a recent graduate of international college of broadcasting where I obtain an associates for audio engineer and videography . Currently I’m working as a stage hand with local 66 where I assist in various in the set up or breakdown of various entertainment industry’s .
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No , it’s discouraging first because you’re independent and everything cost , unless you’re willing to take clothes off but even that don’t get you far lol , I think Covid really put a damp on me moving forward as a rap artist which then forced me to seek other avenue of the music industry , which is why I went to school to obtain a real license because I am a great writer but I enjoy mix and mastering my unique sound I like making sure I sound different my vibes are different

I lost my baby sitter back in 2016 to drug overdose and my baby brother to suicide so ever since I go harder for them . My music talks about the struggles faced growing up in Dayton Ohio been living on my own since 16 trying to find my way . I have a dream I chase until it stop chasing me
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Always believe I. Yourself first before anybody because if you dig believe in yourself you can be easily discouraged just bc your songs not picking up motion. Consistency is key
