Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacob Ciptak.
Hi Jacob, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
For the longest time, I was scared to be myself and do what felt like the right path. My self-confidence did not start blooming until just a few years ago. I never wanted to disappoint anyone if I chose a path that was not the norm.
So, I said I’m just going to do it anyway, I moved to AZ, picked up the camera, made some friends, and started snapping shots. I realized that even people above my class loved my work and I was a born natural.
I am currently after 3 years back to my home state of Ohio. Even with some people still confused about why I’m doing what I am doing or how I’m going to make it, I’m growing in my field at an exponential rate. This year I will have my first media contract, on top of booking shoots and modeling, AND I will be airing an EDM podcast.
I can’t wait for all the other unknowns this year.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My road has bumps and hills. However, I can see the down road that is laid out for me. I would have to say my most prominent struggle along the way is second-guessing my work. I always feel behind compared to others even though, I’m only over a year in. I recently gained a new friend/ acquaintance (Chris Scott) who keeps reminding me that my work is already natural amazing and how much potential I still hold. We both agree this is a scary thought.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
The best part about what I do is that I do it all. I love modeling, making gifs, shooting motivational videos, storyboarding, movie shorts, podcasting, speaking, content creation, event planning, acting, and anything there is to do with media.
Doing all these allows me to express my creative side and not be limited to just one type of media.
P.S. I love using color in my work. Whether it be visual color or the color of the mood.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
If you want to work with me, email me, call me (216-904-3795), let us see what we can create!
As far as support, words of confirmation are always a Christmas bell in my ears. Simply saying “I love this” is all it takes.
