Today we’d like to introduce you to Erin Trease.
Erin, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I have always been into fitness and recovery. I owned a CrossFit gym for several years and competed pretty competitively. Cryotherapy was part of my recovery processes. I moved back to Ohio and sold my gym with intentions of opening a new one. However, during covid, that focus shifted to recovery and pain management. How I could use Icebox to make such a big difference in people’s day-to-day life seemed like my calling and here I am.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I looked at many franchise options. Icebox made the whole thing a lot less bumpy than it could have been. They provide me with a road map which was priceless.
The struggle has been the lack of awareness about the amazing benefits of cryotherapy. It can truly be life-changing to someone with chronic arthritis or an autoimmune disease, the benefits of helping people with depression, sleep, energy… it’s amazing. People just don’t know what it’s all about. Getting the word out one day at a time is my mission but it is taking a bit longer to catch on than expected.
We’ve been impressed with Icebox Cryotherapy- Westerville, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are a premier cold therapy studio that specializes in athletic recovery, pain management, beauty, and wellness. We do cold therapy better than anyone else because that is the focus of our business. My goal is to make Icebox a community not just a business. My staff is educated, we do client experience better than most.
We change people’s lives with a 3 min whole body cryotherapy experience. If you could get rid of pain, sleep better, help your migraines, gain more energy, gain more confidence because your skin is glowing, wouldn’t you want to keep coming back:)
Who else deserves credit in your story?
My parents for starters not only invested in my but have pushed me not to give up during this process. My employees who kick butt and have helped me every day to make this place a better experience for everyone who has walk in the door.
