Today we’d like to introduce you to Erin Michelle. 

Hi Erin, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Love the Beaut began as a blog to celebrate Black-Owned beauty brands. After researching smaller businesses and using their products, it transitioned into a beauty supply shop that featured beauty and skincare products from Black-Owned and Female-Owned businesses. Each product is handpicked and sampled to ensure the ultimate pamper and self-care experience. 

My goal is to provide exclusive access to glamour and well-being and allow a platform for smaller beauty business owners, with a one-stop-shop vibe. The fact that many brands featured in the shop are smaller businesses is what sets Love the Beaut apart. Currently, there are body products, wellness products, and lip care available, and I’m always in contact with beauty brands to expand the variety. This is truly a dream turned reality. 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Having an online beauty supply shop means that I enjoy finding, sampling, and purchasing beauty items, wholesale, to add to my shop. I purchase items from Black-owned and Female-owned business owners who demonstrate that they have a passion for self-care and self-love. Some challenges I’ve experienced are finding vendors to make sure their products align with our mission; playing the middle-man, meaning products have to arrive to me first before I can add them to the shop… so timing is everything; making sure I shop vendors who are dedicated to what they sell and consistent…if a vendor ghosts me, I have no product! If I have no product, that means someone is missing out on an opportunity to pamper themselves! 

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am an online beauty supply shop owner, and I am also a preschool Speech Pathologist! I diagnose and treat children with speech, language, social communication, and cognitive-communication disorders. I attended North Carolina A&T State University (AGGIE PRIDE) for my undergraduate degree and the University of Cincinnati for my graduate degree. Educator by day and Glamour-pusher by night is the life I live right now!
