Today we’d like to introduce you to Erin Adam.
Hi Erin, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started off as a hairstylist working for other people. I worked for several top salons in the Dayton area and after a few years decided to open up a salon where I had others working alongside me. I did this for a little under ten years and ended up selling this business and moving to Columbus. I was starting over and decided I wanted to add something in my career field that I loved myself and knew how good it made me feel. I went back to school to get me ADN/RN degree so that I could not only do hair to help others but to be able to help correct facial concerns as well. I have always had a great attention to detail and knew this was something I needed to do. I have now been injecting for nearly three years and decided to go own my own. I love being my own boss and feeling the freedom being an entrepreneur brings. One thing I can say that I know many cannot is that I absolutely LOVE both of my careers!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There were struggles along the way for sure. Starting from a small town and moving to a bigger city was tough. You can be a big fish in a small pond and go to someone nobody knows with a simple move. These struggles have helped me work harder and strive for more.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a hairstylist who specializes in hand-tied extensions along with dimensional color. I am also an aesthetic nurse specializing in advanced botox and fillers. I have extensive training and continue to train to keep up with new procedures and ways to help get the aesthetic look desired. I am a one-stop shop. I can do your haircolor, add fullness and length, get rid of your wrinkles (botox), help with sagging skin (cheek/jaw/chin filler), and even give you a luscious pout. Basically, a medical beauty salon.
What matters most to you? Why?
I want to make women feel good in their own skin. I have been doing this for 21 years and I hear the concerns with women. I can’t tell you how many times a woman has said, “I love my hair so much! Now I just need to fix my face.” Whether that be them describing the aging part or the make-up. I see the difference I’ve made in just giving them a beautiful hairstyle. How cool is it to be able to help them with their aging concerns. Let’s be honest, we live in a world where beauty is emphasized. If I can do anything to help make a woman feel more confident in her skin, I’m in!
