Hi Dion, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Out the Swamp Entertainment LLC started with my core passion, helping others. There was a young artist by the name of Young Butta in the city of Cincinnati, Ohio that was looking for some leadership and guidance to help navigate him through the music industry. From there Out the Swamp Entertainment was born. The name was uniquely designed to represent the core of who I am. Out the Swamp represents making it out the hood. The Swamp being defined as rough area of the West Side of Cincinnati, Ohio. Since the birth of Out the Swamp Entertainment the company has hosted a variety of events that not only entertain the city but also give back to the community. Out the Swamp Entertainment has hosted a community Kickback that included free food, games, and a safe environment for families to come and enjoy. Out the Swamp Entertainment has utilized our platform to promote artist to be seen and heard around the world. Including the most recent showcase where artist competed for prizes that are game changers in the music industry. Today as a company I continue to host musical events and provide a platform for artist to be seen and heard.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
The road has not always been smooth and there were struggles along the way. The business aspect of the music industry is extremely complicated. Vast amount of artist just write songs, which they are extremely good at. However, there is a business side of this industry that remains a critical component to the success of the artist that goes untouched. Such as purchasing Music Beats with the Exclusive Rights, Booking Studio time with High Demand Producers, Marketing and Promotions, Overall support from the City. I come from a city where everybody wants to Compete and Nobody wants to Collaborate.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As the Chief Executive Officer/Owner of Out the Swamp Entertainment LLC I specialize in the Music Entertainment Industry. I am known for utilizing my entertainment company providing artist opportunities to secure future music deals. I am also known for Nightlife, Hosting Music Concerts, Showcases, Community Give Back Events. I am most proud of giving people a voice by providing a platform for the artist to release their music. The thing that sets me apart from others my Ambition, and my Ability to Achieve my Goals. I always complete what I set out to accomplish.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
If I had to sum up the Covid-19 Crisis I would say: Somethings you just can’t prepare for. The most important lesson that I learned was Life as we know it can all change overnight. Literally, we went from the ability to do as we please with no restrictions to federal government mandates overnight. Life as we know it, had shut down completely.
