Hi David, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Hailing from Elyria Ohio , David “DC” Caver has shaped the local music scene since 1978. Founded DC N COMPANY DJ SERVICE IN 1993- one of Lorain County’s most recognized DJs. Now operating DCNCOMPANYRADIO.COM as the urban specialist with LIVE BROADCASTS shout-out segment,exclusive interview and hot topics

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
ITS NEVER SMOOTH TO ACHIEVE ANYTHING MEANINGFUL! When we started the station 🔟 years ago the market of independent radio stations was full. Which was very tough making our ways to be known amongst the best of them all! After our first 3️⃣ years we were nominated for our first of two 2️⃣ OHIO ENTERTAINMENT AWARDS,then came two 2️⃣ TRAPPYS AWARDS – a 3rd place finish as THE PEOPLES and PLACES BEST RADIO AWARD “CLEVELAND SCENE MAGAZINE. And in June of this year the “NCNW” BLACK RADIO/MEDIA AWARD! So we feel our hard work is paying off. You have to stay focused and keep consistent with your vision and passion of chasing your goals and achieving your DREAMS!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As ceo of DC N COMPANY ENTERTAINMENT/DC NCO DJ SERVICE/DCNCOMPANYRADIO.COM I wear many hats. The management of our team and the different professional skills that they each bring to the table is challenging and REWARDING at the same time. In this extremely fast 💨 paced digital world 🌎 leading is what we do around here. And I’m most proud of it being done with a (TEAM) of us that all buy in! Buy far the most challenging is I’m also our SALES GUY again done with the support of others on the team. But I’m the one 1️⃣ wearing that hat as well mainly for now. (Hint hint anyone”. Yet even as hard as cold sales are sometimes,it’s still nothing like the little money dance our team made up we do EVERYTHING TIME WE SALE “lol”

What makes you happy?
REAL TALK NOTHING MAKE ME HAPPIER THEN HEARING SOMEONE SAY I HEARD MY SONG ON THE RADIO! Or MY KIDS HEARD MY SONG ON THE RADIO FOR THE FIRST TIME. BUT PROBABLY BY FAR THE MOST ENJOYABLE THING,I WHY I DO THIS: IS TO SEE THE SMILE ON THE FACES of team members when they get PAID for doing something THEY LOVE and BELIEVE IN. To the point where it’s not about the money to them. I love them all for that,but I love more when we can PAY THEM!
