Today we’d like to introduce you to Carrie Graham.
Hi Carrie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I’ve always been someone who enjoys making things. From DIYing Halloween costumes (Marvel Cosplay costumes specifically, because that is the only way I could convince my husband to dress up for Halloween) to creating new paver patio spaces. I get my creativity and craftiness from my parents. The balloon thing just randomly happened. My first balloon garland was a cheap Amazon kit for New Year’s Eve. I was so happy and proud of it. After that, I was hooked on balloons! Who would have thought at 38 years old (now 39) that I would become obsessed with balloons!?
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Some of my biggest struggles have been on the business side of things. I had never started a business before, so that part was a little intimidating. Also, pricing has been one of the things that I’ve stressed over. I had to figure out all of that so I could get back to the creative side of this business.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Inflated Moments LLC?
I launched Inflated Moments LLC aka Inflated Moments by Carrie in March of this year. As a Balloon Artist/Stylist serving NE Ohio (and beyond), I specialize in balloon decor of all kinds. If I haven’t created it yet, I’m always up for a challenge. I am constantly adding new inventory. The newest is a shimmer wall that I cannot wait to put together and add to the list of rental items. Other new items include a bell tent, teepee tent, and marquee numbers (that my dad is custom-making as they are requested). I plan to start offering “Marriage Proposal Setups” as well. I currently have a giveaway on Facebook and Instagram offering a free setup to one lucky person! One thing that I am most proud of is how much I have been able give back to the community in these 7 months of business. I truly appreciate all of my clients for allowing me to help them create their “Inflated Moments.”
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Trust in yourself and your abilities. Oftentimes we tend to self-doubt ourselves. Putting yourself out there in the business world is scary. When the nerves kick in, just know that you’ve got this.
