Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
The MAGNA Family of brands hospitality group was built off of a few basic things; love, a passion for wine & custom experiences with the core mission of taking the intimidation out of wine and coffee. We now own the mocha coffee company in Macedonia, Ohio, the MAGNA Wine boutique in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, the MAGNA wine boutique in Bedford, Ohio, the MAGNA wine collection and soon to open MOTIV in shaker heights, Ohio.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s never a smooth road when opening businesses, especially as a minority. From zoning to signage approval processes, the pandemic, supply chain, etc. we face challenges each day.

The Magna family of brands hospitality group owns and operates local wine boutiques and tasting room and a coffee shop. What makes us different is that we are the only black-owned wine boutique in the state and we are the only locally owned or operated or female-owned or black-owned coffee shop in Macedonia Ohio.
