Meet A’sia Barnes of Herbs n Asia

Today we’d like to introduce you to A’sia Barnes. 

Hi A’sia, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I grew up in Euclid Ohio. My Panamanian Mom raised me on herbal medicine, when I was sick, she gave garlic, when I had a tummy ache, she gave me ginger, when I had cramps, she prepared yoni steams. I wanted to create a business that served my community true benefits, Healing & Affordable Health care. 

When I was 25, I found out I had fibriods, but the story on how I found out won’t come to a shock to majority of women. I started having extremely unbearable pains in my stomach and my cycle was heavy & would not stop, it went on for 3 months! My OBGYN said it was nothing wrong but offered me birth control to stop the bleeding, I declined and asked for an ultrasound. Something has to be wrong and I knew my body was telling me that. Symptoms are your body telling you there’s a problem, if you stop the symptoms without healing the issue, it’ll just get worse and cause greater problems later. The results came back from my ultrasound and she said nothing was found. I didn’t believe it. I got a copy of the ultrasound and seen they found 3 uterine fibriods. I felt vindicated but angry because I couldn’t even trust my dr, her job is to treat me. Thats when I researched herbs and made my 1st two teas “No more Fibriods” & “Regulate Mensi Cycle Tea” Those teas saved my life! 

So, I knew I had to share these herbal mixtures with the world. I truly care and want to help. I launched She Heals Tea with 7 Teas and after a rebrand We are now Herbs in Asia and we have over 150 Products (Teas, Capsules, 2 Online Courses, and 2 published books. All of my products came about from what my customers, family & friends have asked me from me through the years so all my products are made from love. 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Challenges I’ve faced as a small business owner is playing every role. Content Creator, videography, photographer, making products, Bookkeeping, etc. I love it but I had to learn to prioritize my time making sure my business flourished and my personal life was tended to as well.

Herbs n Asia was founded in 2017 in Cleveland in order to provide comprehensive services that support and foster the health of our customers. We offer a variety of treatments, classes, and services to improve and help you maintain your optimal health. Whether you are an inspiring Herbal Entrepeneur, experiencing pain, or simply want to improve your physical and mental fitness, Herbs n Asia provides the resources to do so in a healing and friendly environment.   

At Herbs n Asia, we strive to satisfy all our clients’ needs by providing them with comprehensive and high-quality services. Each individual has unique needs, which means they each require a specific combination of activities or treatments to help them find wellness. Our client list is constantly expanding, which allows us to add more and better offerings to help our valued customers find the well-being that they strive. 

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters to me most is the health of my community. My goal is not only to heal with my natural products but educate as well. The knowledge of Herbal medicine and healthy living was passed on to me and my goal is to pass it to as many people I can reach.
