Today we’d like to introduce you to Alex Gibbons.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
After a spur-of-the-moment trip to Miami, Florida in April of 2017, I fell in love with tropical plants. When I returned to Ohio, I set out to all the local nurseries on the search for large tropical plants for my own garden. Unfortunately, I came up empty-handed. After ordering my first shipment of large tropical plants in for myself, it wasn’t long until neighbors and people just driving by were stopping and asking where I purchased them. I knew I was onto something.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Luckily the experience I have from operating two other businesses I own made it easier to overcome many of the challenges most first-time business owners go through. The biggest challenge for us has been determining what sizes and species of tropical plants are most in demand. As well logistics cost with rising fuel cost…
