Meet Aaron Wells

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaron Wells.

Hi Aaron, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve dipped in and out of different artistic endeavors since I was a kid. Art is something I’ve always had a passion for, but I never really knew how to apply that passion. It took me a long time to find what felt more natural, and in some ways, I’m still looking. In recent years, I’ve been getting into abstract paintings and nature photography more than anything else.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It’s been bumpy to say the least. One of my parents tore me down and often told me that what I created was useless. It took a long time to overcome that hurdle. Aside from that, art is a pretty pricey hobby at times, and I didn’t always have the budget for it.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I do mainly acrylic paintings, and I’ve started to specialize in abstract paintings recently, which has been my favorite style so far.

I’d say that, if anything, I’m known for using a lot of greens and blues in my art.

I’m proud of myself for overcoming the hurdles that are now behind me and for getting back into making art.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Never let what others say get in the way of the creative process. Life is too short to let a negative person get in the way of making the world a bit more colorful.
