Today we’d like to introduce you to The Groove
Hi The , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The Groove started as a trio in 2017 with me, Blake, and Z-Funk. We were all incarcerated at the time and we all had different release dates but we kept in touch with one another. Fast forward to now. We have become a quartet. So it’s Blake on lead and rhythm guitar as well as lead and background vocals. Ms. Melody on keyboards and lead and background vocals. Courtney on drums and percussion. And me on bass and background vocals.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Overall it has been a little bumpy but we always seem to pretty much land on our feet. So you can say it’s been pretty much a smooth ride.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
You can say we are multifaceted. We all have different avenues like Blake is a great artist and Ms. Melody is great with spoken word and I’m a great author etc. So our energy is always cranking. Being original and we are always able to embody music as a whole and appreciate it’s value. Being and staying positive in any situation is what we’re proud of. Giving you 110% at all times rather their is 10 people or 100000 people we are gonna give you The Groove.
